5.0 out of 5 stars nice for short trips
I bought this item just prior to taking a four day cruise. I was able to pack more than enough clothing for the cruise. It rolls well, and the zippers seem heavy enough to withstand a bit of over-stuffing the bag, as I tend to do at times. I have not yet brought it aboard a plane, but it does appear it will fit in the overhead compartment quite well, as long as it is...

3.0 out of 5 stars Why Don't Duffel Bags Have Stronger Material on One End?
This duffle bag, like every duffle bag I buy, always gets torn up on the end that drags on the ground. Why don't duffle bag makers put a layer of plastic or leather or some other material to protect that end? I use a rolling duffle on a daily basis and so go through several bags a year. This gets expensive.

Please, duffle bag makers, please put something sturdy...

I bought this item just prior to taking a four day cruise. I was able to pack more than enough clothing for the cruise. It rolls well, and the zippers seem heavy enough to withstand a bit of over-stuffing the bag, as I tend to do at times. I have not yet brought it aboard a plane, but it does appear it will fit in the overhead compartment quite well, as long as it is not over-stuffed.

This is the second product I have owned by the same manufacturer. The first one was a rolling backpack, which lasted almost ten years with weekly use. The zippers finally gave out, so I replaced it with this item, as the previously owned model was no longer available.

While this is not priced very high as many pieces of luggage go, the quality is outstanding, in my opinion .

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, November 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The only GOOD thing I can say about this bag is that it is VERY roomy.

The bottom fabric by the wheels is NOT reinforced, and has already torn after about a month of use. I'm quite disappointed.

Also, the handle when you pull it up does not click into place so it goes up and down as you pull it.

I am going to try to reinforce the bottom myself with a piece of leather, and if you are crafty and dont' mind a sliding handle - then maybe this bag is for you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Had to return it, September 12, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I had to return this duffle bag because it came with a label that read, "WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm." I never would have purchased this bag had I known and that warning was not disclosed on Amazon.com or the seller's website. (Why spread those chemicals onto my clothes and all around my kids and house?)

You may also want to know that the retractable handle is not covered by fabric so it might get damaged if you take it on a flight.

Also, you can't tell in the online photo, but the red plaid has a little pink in it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Why Don't Duffel Bags Have Stronger Material on One End?, July 26, 2011

Why don't duffle bag makers put a layer of plastic or leather or some other material to protect that end? I use a rolling duffle on a daily basis and so go through several bags a year. Please, duffle bag makers, please put something sturdy on the end of the duffle that is on the ground so that they will last longer.

Thank you.

Otherwise this is a very nice bag. Even though it's getting torn up on one end, the rest of the bag is very sturdy and holding up very well. I like the front and end pockets, but wish there were a few more outside pockets. The inside is very roomy which makes it easy to find everything I need once I put it in there.

Take care of the tearing up issue, and I will be a customer for life.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice travel bag, April 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This bag, which I purchased for my grandson, it a bit large for carry-on purposes, but if you don't stuff it full, it'll fit into most overhead compartments just fine and still hold more than you'll need! It tends to tip over, too, but not so much as many other inexpensive bags. Overall, I'm quite pleased with it, as is my grandson!
