Bought this for my 10 year old girl who was struggling to carry a big load of books everyday and needed the wheels. It has been less than 2 months since she got it and it already is showing signs of distress. The handle is not faring well with the steps on the bus and looks like it will not make the rest of the school year. She cut herself on a surround on the wheels (I asked her why she was playing with it and she declared all the kids play with the wheels on their backpack. Again - probably OK for a careful older child or adult, but just not cutting it for a 10 year old. Attractive enough and enough space for a decent but not huge load of books.

I got this for my 4th grade son. It's been about 2 months since he started using the bag and he likes the bag. wheels are strong and handle is soft, easy to roll the bag . Bag has lot of room for books and it's very comfortable.

I REALLY like this backpack, it has been awesome. I have had it for 2 months, it has a lot of room for books and accessories. No breakage yet!

I got this for my fourth grader in October of 2010 (after another back pack only lasted her 3 weeks of school before ripping). It made it through the year only breaking at the last week of school, the bottom cracked in half, it still rolled and worked fine (it just slouched or how my daughter put it, it was drepressed) but other than that there were no other issues. I will be buying another one for this comming school year.

Excellent product!!.. very sturdy and my 8 year old does not go easy on this during academic year.. still going on strong..

Bought this for my 3rd grade daughter. The wheel broke off, contacted the maker to get it repaired. It was going to cost $9.95 plus shipping. Not worth it.

I purchased the CalPak Grand Stand Rolling Backpack for my daughter last month. It is a sturdy backpack, carries her water bottle, lunchbox, thick binder and books from school, completely does what it is supposed to do, the handles are sturdy, the pink version of the backpack is attractive and not too childish for my 3rd grade daughter. I like the design which is simple enough to be appropriate for when my child gets to the upper elementary grades. Good buy and excellent price for the excellent construction.

I purchased this for a school student and he brags about how nobody has one like it. It has super wheels that are very sturdy. I love that he loves it!
