While Caladryl is similar to calamine lotion, this product is really rather effective at greatly reducing the "tingling" feeling that I often get on my arm from time to time when I get yet another case of shingles. That's something extra that regular calamine lotion didn't do for me!

This lotion feels so soothing when I rub some on the part of my arm that has that tingling feeling; the tingling is reduced quite a bit. In addition, this lotion dries quickly; and I can easily wash the leftover residue from my hands using regular soap and water.

There's really nothing negative I have to say about this product, although of course if you have any questions or concerns about your own health problem you can ask a doctor or pharmacist before you use this product.

I highly recommend this product based on my experience. It does a great job of giving me relief from itching associated with shingles; and it can help with poison oak, sumac and poison ivy as well.

I have had a chronic rash on both my inner thighs going on four years now. I have tried EVERYTHING from iodine to alcohol, witch hazel, I've tried costecosteroid pills, various creams on the shelves of Walgreens, Target, and CVS that NEVER worked. I used this stuff and applied everyday after my shower and the rash has subsided significantly. I will always have the rash, because it's caused by eczema which has no cure, but this stuff keeps it under control. I started out applying five coats of the lotion per day and then I went down to one coat a day. Now, I only apply it once a week and hopefully pretty soon I can start applying it only when I feel an outbreak. I am so happy to have this overwith!

It's funny how you see doctor after doctor and they don't even help you. It's crazy how all I had to do was buy some calomine lotion and the problem is solved, crazy. None of the doctors I saw were able to help me with this problem, they just looked at me and acted like it was the worst thing they'd ever seen in their lives.... crazy world people, can't trust your doctors.

The first time I used this product I had a bad case of poison ivy. Within moments of application of this lotion I had lost all itching all together. This past fall I went deer hunting and as I sat in my tree stand I picked at a vine out of boredom. You have no idea how dumb I felt when I realized I had a horrible case of poison oak. Thank goodness for the caladryl lotion. The other nice thing about caladryl lotion is that it is not as strong smelling as calamine lotion and it isn't as noticeable so you don't have to feel like people think you're a leper. Thank you caladryl! I definitely endorse this product.

Wound up with hives on my legs and arms, and desperate for relief (while I try to figure out the cause). This arrived this morning and I hurriedly put some on before school and was disappointed that still itched uncontrollably all day.. But this evening I shook the bottle first (as the directions state) and applied it more thoroughly (and reapplied it to the spots I missed). It's a liquid, not a lotion and messy and it will show on white clothes, but it does really--REALLY--relieve the itching. I know from past experience that the only real cure for hives is NO SCRATCHING and I feel that now I can start to heal.

Let me start by saying this, for some reason I always seem to get poison ivy every summer. I have tried many different over the counter medications, such as "Ivy Dry" and "Tecnu Rash Relief Spray" and I came to the conclusion that none of these things have ever come close to helping me with my poison ivy woes. So far the best medicine I have come across seems to be this Caladryl lotion. Although I hate the pink color, it does keep the itch somewhat at bay, and if your poison ivy ever gets to the point where it starts to puss, this is the best medicine I have found at drying it up. Would have rated it better if only it actually did get rid of the poison ivy, but all in all the best out off all the products I have tried.

I purchased this to send to my mother in Illinois, where mosquito season has been extra horrific this year. For some reason, she was having a hard time finding any Caladryl in the local pharmacies and I had to score some when I saw the price through Amazon's reseller. She treated her (many) bites and reported feeling better almost immediately.

It's very affected. It's the best anti-itch lotion. My 2 yr old gets an allergic reaction on his skin from mosquito bites. Skin swells up and is very Itchy. Well this lotion has relieved his itchiness and heals it quickly within 3 days which is better than other anti-itch lotions that take weeks for healing.

I am a magnet for bugs. I use Caladryl for when mosquitos decimate my skin and it works very well. I want to bathe in this stuff sometimes. The pink tint of it does make you look like a weirdo, so use this at night and the clear stuff during the day :P
