A delightful encounter with lots of dearly beloved characters from our Romanian childhood: Zmei (some sort of Ogres), Capcani (mutant people with dog heads), Iele (beautiful, but wicked, dancing fairies), Balauri (Romanian word for dragons), Blajini (hard to explain in today's world, some God-loving and righteous men), Solomonari (malefic sorcerers), Sinziene and Ursitoare (good fairies), Cai Nazdravani (talking winged horses) and - of course - Andilandi, Pasarea Maiastra (Andilandi, the enchanted bird).Stay close for the next book in this series. |
