Israel appears to be a devotee of Maple and does a good job covering most of the foundamental aspects of calculus.He focuses on using Maple as a 'companion' tool to the human mathematical capabilities, without overlooking Maple's powerful computational abilities. Particularly interesting are his examples on series convergence and integration techniques. He also provides examples that are independent of platform. I was able to use his examples on both Windows 95 and MacOS. |
