Rare gem, February 22, 2006
This review is from: Caldara: Trio Sonatas; Cello Sonatas /Parnassi Musici (Audio CD)
Caldara is a highly underrated composer who wrote some must-have vocal and instrumental works. These chamber works are delicate and melodious, providing for plenty of rewarding listening for early Music fans. Nicely recorded and performed too. Even if the music is not quite in the top echelon alongside the likes of Telemann or Handel, it's pretty damn likeable.

Different caldara, July 31, 2007
This review is from: Caldara: Trio Sonatas; Cello Sonatas /Parnassi Musici (Audio CD)
In past, I knew Caldara and like his music because of his oratorios and cantatas. Until listenning this record, I found Caldara was also a good instrumental composer and treat him as one of great composers list. Comparing with Handel, Bach, I think caldara could get more honor on his sonatas music, and paied more attention. If you never touched Caldara, I would suggest you to try; if you had been a lover of his other musics, I thought you should get this in your pool.

Pleasant and Subtle!, January 31, 2012
This review is from: Caldara: Trio Sonatas; Cello Sonatas /Parnassi Musici (Audio CD)
This work by Caldara is perfect for reading, socializing with friends, or relaxing with a nice wine, cheese, and nuts. Let it play in the background like an audio mental massage. A pleasurable recording from a less know composer. Good day!
