firearms bench rest
This is a portable lightweight bench rest for low recoil rifles and pistols. Easy to carry and adjust, easy setup and assembly. It is not heavy enough or stable enough for use with belted magnum rifles or big bore handguns. Works well with everything else.

Great but no cigar
Caldwell's rifle rest is a great idea but the item is made cheaply and is disappointing in the way it lacks stability. The three piece design is ok but the way they come together makes the whole thing unstable, added three screws to secure firmly and that helps.

It's sturdy enough although if you put it well forward and have the front of the rifle stock resting on it, it tends to slip forwardMy main beef is the range of the up and down movement which is limited The full extension is not enough Far from ideal I reckon Stick it with my long tripod rest which is all wrong too |
