It's constructed of durable high-fired earthenware coated in a lustrous, lead-free glaze that resists warping and cracking. The baker measures 3 inches high and is ideal for preparing tall cakes and soufflés that rise while baking. Not just for souffles! This will be used as a vegetable/salad/pasta serving bowl, very versatile piece. OR, if you have a big dog, order two to use as fancy food/water bowls, will look great in the kitchen! Very happy with this purchase.
