4.0 out of 5 stars Passionate energy, gets you moving, January 20, 2000

This is a terrific recording with lots of originality. Her passionate energy and lilting melodies linger in memory. Her rhythmic numbers really rock, and her quiet songs are full of soulful feeling. We've seen her in concert twice and were entirely satisfied. We listen to this recording a lot and can't wait for her new release in which she teams up with master slide guitarist Roy Rogers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice debut album., July 16, 1999

A nice debut from this artist. Stand-out tracks are: "Mile 14","My Reason", and a lovely cover of her father Van's "Sweet Thing" from his classic lp, "Astral Weeks." If you like Lone Justice,Van Morrison, Carol King etc. you'll most likely enjoy this record from an up and comer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Music Fan From Cape Cod, August 14, 2000

"After hearing Shana in a club in San Francisco,(1998) I bought the CD, Caledonia that night from Shana herself! When I arrived home I ordered more for friends....they went wild when they heard her voice. Shana's voice is different. Sort of like Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, and Alanis Morrisette, but not quite, her voice is unique. No one else sounds quite like Shana Morrison. She can belt out the blues, swing into country, cruise up to rock, and sing haunting melodies without missing a beat. Favorite tracks are, "I Spy", "Can't Hold On," "Mile 14","Gladys" and of course her knock out rendition of her Dad's "Sweet Thing." Shana Morrison is a talent to be reckoned with - one of the best new voices in music today."

5.0 out of 5 stars Shana Morrison Caledonia, March 1, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Caledonia (Audio CD)
I saw Shana Morrison and Roy Rogers play together during the summer of 2000. I am a huge van morrison fan so i was excited to see Shana. I was so impressed with that concert. She only played one Van Morrison song which was "Sweet Thing" and it brought me to tears. I was thinking her dad probably wrote the song for her. Anyway, this CD is impressive. Shana has a beautiful voice and interesting range of songs.
