Summary: If you're looking for a calendar app to track your schedule, appointments, etc. on your Kindle, then look no further; this is the app for you.

Calendar Pro's interface will look very familiar to users of Microsoft Outlook's calendar, or other similar scheduling applications. With intuitive hotkeys to jump from view to view (y = year, m = month, d = day, t = today, a = agenda), viewing your calendar and scheduled items is extremely straightforward.

You can easily see at a glance which days have items scheduled (yearly view highlights days with a block, monthly puts a dot above the date). Page forward and page back buttons do just what you'd expect them to (page from year to year, month to month, day to day, depending on what view you're in).

Creating or editing new schedule items is a cinch, with multiple ways to start the process (hotkey 'c', menu, clicking 5-way control on an hour in the daily view, etc). The interface has clearly laid out and labelled fields for title, start date/time, end date/time, where, and description.

The only time that the controls weren't 100% intuitive was when I was entering the end time for an event, and I thought pushing down on the 5-way would take me to the next field, and instead lowered the number in that field. (However, if I would have pressed the clearly visible 'Help' button, and read the clear, concise help text for this screen, I would have known that in advance!)

I've only been using Calendar Pro for less than an hour, and already consider it a must-have for anyone who wants to use their Kindle for anything more than reading books. At only $0.99, you just can't go wrong here.

The only feature requests that I would make are the following:

- being able to define a schedule item as 'recurring' (for example, a meeting that takes place at the same time every week). I'm used to having that feature in my MS Outlook calendar, and it does cut down on the repetitious entry of appointments.

- having an option like "delete items older than X days in the past" to be able to clean up old items automatically, without having to manually delete them. I know that an app like this probably won't take up much storage space over time, but it would be nice to have some mass-deletion capability for past items.

Other than those two minor items, I have yet to find anything I don't like about Calendar Pro!

Great job, Jujuba Software; I look forward to seeing what else you'll release for the Kindle!

You can view by day, month, and year--but not by the week--seriously? c'mon! Decent calendar though.

This is a very good product - but - a few minor points which make it unworkable for me.

Firstly you can not have recurring appointments - i have regular appointments every friday and monday and don't want to have to type them in all the time.

Secondly, no facility to copy and paste which would have made the first omission a little more acceptable.

Thirdly, no facility to back up your planner in the same way that the notepad by 7 dragons allows you to.

Finally when you are in day view you can see the date but not the day, which for me is very important.

A little more thought would have made this an excellent app for my kindle but i guess i will have to wait for something which ticks all my boxes.
