I enjoy light romance mixed with some mystery/adventure and with well developed secondary characters. These last two stories of the 4 Calhoun sisters and their sister-in-law were very touching as both women, Suzanna and Megan, were single moms. Suzanna through divorce and Megan as a never married and left-in-the-lurch innocent. Suzanna particulary had a rough time trusting herself and her feelings after a very rough marriage and had so much concern for her sons that as a mom myself I could empathize. Megan was so young when she trusted innocently (here is another reason that abstinence before marriage is not a bad idea) and was so hurt and ignored by the father of her child.

The secondary characters of Dutch and Aunt Coco were lots of fun and you could feel how Dutch was nervous about the whole thing but couldn't fight it. And then you add in the mystery of the emeralds and Bianca and Christian's relationship and that was very touching as well.

I recommend it -- not as a heavy serious mystery but as a light, touchingly funny and sensitive set of stories.

This was a great conclusion to the series. Each book can stand on his own but Nora Robert threads the grandmother lost jewels throughout the series. It was great -- couldn't put the book it down!

Yes this is old Nora, but it is a great story. This was a reread for me and I enjoyed it the second time around very much.
This is the last 2 stories in the 5 that involve the Calhoun family.
In Suzanna's surrender you finally get the oldest sisters story. She had a rough marriage and an even harder divorce. She is raising two kids and working hard at her own gardening business. She gets involved with ex-cop Holt Bradford, who was also the local bad boy in his teens. This is a great love story. Also in this story you have the conclusion to the mystery surrounding the Calhoun's Great Grandmother's tragic death and the missing emeralds. You also get more details of the love affair between Christian and Bianca, in Christians words.
In Megan's Mate you have the story of Calhoun sister in law. This story takes place a year after Suzanna's so you get a nice follow up on the whole family. Megan is a single mother who has closed herself off to love... But then she meets Nate Fury and all her walls come crashing down.
This is a wonderful conclusion to the Calhoun Family saga. Two great stories.

"Megan's Mate" was my favorite story in this set. While all of the Calhouns are great..this story was a bit different since Megan wasn't one of the 4 sisters. Great reading....and Kevin was such a little sweetie!

Excellent encounter of the family saga - very enjoyable - would recommend to all readers who have read previous novels

I am very unhappy with this book since part of it is missing. Pages between 248 and 273 and not there so the end of the first story is gone and the beginning of the second. Obviously I would like some sort of compensation for this.

I'm a Nora Roberts fan and this is one I haven't been able to find. I like going to a place that has what I'm looking for and all I have to do is sit at the computer!

Nora Roberts is my favorite author. There is no book of hers that is not really good!

I have only been reading Nora Roberts for about a year now. She is becoming one of my favorites. I look forward to reading more books by her. She brings her characters alive for the reader. I love how she intertwines the lives of the sisters in this book.

I picked up a Nora Roberts at work. It was the first installment of the Calhoun sisters. I had to buy the second. I was not disappointed. The books are great. I will be reading more of this author in the future.
