Cali Girl So Excellent Blaine

I first met Blaine about five years ago. I was at Cali Beach with my then girlfriend, Barbie. It was a hot day, so i was rubbing sunblock on her back. Suddenly, a shadow was cast over us. It was Blaine. He told me that losers like us weren't allowed on his beach, and that this was his "turf." He then kicked sand into my face. I did what any man would do in that situation, I challenged him to a surf off. "Noon tomorrow," he said as he laughed and ran his hand through his hair.
I didn't sleep a wink that night. All I could think about was how much i wanted to win. Needed to win.
When we arrived at the beach it was packed. But all i could see is Blaine and my board. "Let's end this." I said. He smirked and replied "Ladies first." I grabbed my board and jogged into the ocean. The sound of crashing waves somehow calmed me. I caught my first wave only a few minutes in, but it was nothing special. I needed to wait for the big one if I had any chance of beating him. It took what seemed like forever before it came. I heard it first, like a thunderous fist it slammed into me. It dragged me under the water. I almost drowned. When i awoke I was on the beach again, coughing up water. Blaine was there, laughing, with his arm around my girlfriend. They left together and I haven't seen either one of them since.
Everyday I relive that pain and I wait for my revenge.

I really dont know how the whole soap opera saga is going between Ken and Barbie since I played with them last myself 30 years ago or so, but I bought this guy Blaine for my 3 1/2 year old as a substitute to "Julian" from Princess and the Pauper-I bought both girls for Christmas each an Anneilese and Erika doll and also purchased the wedding clothes for Ken and the Queen and Princess. My 5 year old was given the Ken from Swan Lake (blonde)last year for her birthday-he resembled Julian and both my girls previously had Ken as "King Dominic" but my little one did not have a "Julian" the Swan Lake Blonde Ken was no longer available, so I got her Blaine. He worked out just fine except for the fact that this guy is expressionless-no smile or smirk for Blaine??? At least Ken has a smile on his face-looks like from Blaine's sullen expression that he ate too many of those power bars that he was supplied with in the box.
My daughter asked why her "Julian"(Blaine) did not look like her sisters "Julian"???? I told her, "Julian was tutoring Anneilese all day in the courtyard on a very sunny day and forgot his sunscreen." It didn't fool her-but she is just fine with Blaine.

I think everyone is taking this a little too personal. It's fiction not real life folks so live with it. I have both ken dolls and the first one is boring, bland, and same so. Blaine has more advanced features and is much cooler and cuter than the cheap looking ken doll. Worth the buy, but i would wait till he is on sale.

It's true that Barbie and Ken were never married, but those correcting others here about Barbie's relationship with Kelly need to open their eyes. Are we so gullible that we're going to believe Barbie that Kelly is her sister? Barbie dates to an era where it was not uncommon for an unwed pregnant girl to be shipped of to "stay with her aunt" for a year, then after her return she would conveniently gain a "baby sister". Marlon Brando went most of his life call his grandmother "mom" and his mother "sis"; google it for the details. The images and text accompanying the set of Barbie pushing Kelly in a stroller makes it clear what their true relationship is.

This doll is really cute, but it is the same face as the Barbie high school/college friends. I don't remeber the exact name, but the dolls were released in the mid 90's. There were two male dolls and one of them was Blaine - he was a DJ. He wore a silver jacket and had straight blonde hair. I personally like the surfer version of this new and improved Blaine. Very cute face and surf gear.

My 4 year old recieved two Blaine dolls for Christmas and he LOVES them. Of course my 5 year son said "Yuck!". Then was the first one playing with them. My 4 year old thinks the outfits are cool and loves having Blaine "ride the waves". He only wishes there were more clothes for Blaine. Not much out there for clothes for male dolls. He wants to go to the store to get two girls for the boys today! LOL My 5 year old LOVES playing with them but does not want people to see LOL.

I ordered him here for about $40.00... but in my opinion it was worth it :) I haven't taken him out of the box since I like him so much. In the back of the box there is a story of how he met barbie, and the story was to encourage kids to read more. Blaine comes with two sets of clothing (one pair he is wearing & the other is his surf gear), a water plastic bottle, two energy barbie, a surf board and a pair of flippers. I love blaine, even though he did split barbie and ken up... but hey barbie and ken are back together again which is good right? :) I hope everyone can forgive blaine and buy him. :D

It was in perfect condition, like new- as if just purchased in a store. I would buy from this seller again in the future :)

Thank goodness that Barbie & Ken broke up...Her new boyfriend is much much better! I first heard about the shocking news from my grandma...I was heart broken at first, but when i saw Blaine i was very glad.....Soooo....In with the old, and out with the new! They had a thing on Barbie.com where you could vote for the guy..Yes! VOTE! I voted for Steven, but unfortunatly, he didn't win....Oh well, Blaine is cool with me!

Don't worry ladies. I'll deal with this Blaine guy for you. He will be entering the witness protection program under the name of Julian. He will be shacking up with Princess Anneliese at my house since the "real" Julian can't be found. Once he's gone, Barbie can get over her little mid-life crises and get back with Ken. Then all will be right in the world again.
