This Santa Cruz Stack Set in green includes 2 serving size bowls, each with a 40-ounce capacity--great for use at the table for serving food or as a working bowl in the kitchen. Developed by surfers and inspired by the waves they ride, the CaliBowl uses a concave design all the way up the lip so that food is pushed back onto your spoon, fork, chip, or cracker instead of over the edge onto the table or the floor. As the contents are forced to the side of the CaliBowl, the enhanced lip causes a gradual wave-like recirculation back toward the CaliBowl's center for a no-spill result. Additionally, these bowls are ideal mixing bowls--perfect for making pancake batter or beating eggs.
The bowls are made from nearly indestructible, BPA free polypropylene plastic, and are manufactured using partially recycled material. They also feature a non-skid base and an easily stackable design for storage. Microwave and top-rack dishwasher safe.

Yup, these bowls are a little pricey. But, if you are tired of bowls that get so dang hot when you put them in the microwave and you can't pick them up.... you'll pay. And the special edge of these bowls, it does keep the food in, like when you microwave oatmeal. and there is a rubbery lip on the bottom of this bowl too -- keeps it from sliding and moving when you put it down. They clean great, in the dishwasher or by hand. They are durable. And the color goes with my other dishes. Love 'em. Delivery was quick. We'll get more.

I looked a long time for good, dishwasher and microwave safe bowls for soup and stew. I like a larger bowl, so I don't have to fill it to the brim, and these bowls fit that perfectly. They're labelled "5 cup" but really hold a little over 4 cups, which still leaves plenty of room for a couple of cups of soup.
The yellow is a bit more gold in real life, and this blue is less baby blue, and more of an aqua, but they're both attractive. The rubber on the bottom means they don't slide around, and the thickness will pleasantly surprise you. You might think "these are a little expensive for plastic bowls," but the the quality is really worth it.

I totally agree w/ the reviews that have been written so far. Can't say enough about these bowls!
While searching for a BPA-free, microwaveable dishware for my kids, I came across these CaliBowls. Can it be true? Safe, durable, fun, easy to use - all in one product? I couldn't believe it but yes it is...My kids love eating out of these fun-colored bowls - and I can use them every day because they are BPA-free. Bonus - they have grippy bottoms so it's even less messier at meal time! The special design keeps food on the spoons (no more messy fingers!) and the bowls don't shift around as much - less mess means less work for moms.
