Yup, these bowls are a little pricey. But, if you are tired of bowls that get so dang hot when you put them in the microwave and you can't pick them up.... you'll pay. And the special edge of these bowls, it does keep the food in, like when you microwave oatmeal. and there is a rubbery lip on the bottom of this bowl too -- keeps it from sliding and moving when you put it down. They clean great, in the dishwasher or by hand. They are durable. And the color goes with my other dishes. Love 'em. Delivery was quick. We'll get more.

I looked a long time for good, dishwasher and microwave safe bowls for soup and stew. I like a larger bowl, so I don't have to fill it to the brim, and these bowls fit that perfectly. They're labelled "5 cup" but really hold a little over 4 cups, which still leaves plenty of room for a couple of cups of soup.

The yellow is a bit more gold in real life, and this blue is less baby blue, and more of an aqua, but they're both attractive. The rubber on the bottom means they don't slide around, and the thickness will pleasantly surprise you. You might think "these are a little expensive for plastic bowls," but the the quality is really worth it.

While searching for a BPA-free, microwaveable dishware for my kids, I came across these CaliBowls. Can it be true? Safe, durable, fun, easy to use - all in one product? I couldn't believe it but yes it is...My kids love eating out of these fun-colored bowls - and I can use them every day because they are BPA-free. Bonus - they have grippy bottoms so it's even less messier at meal time! The special design keeps food on the spoons (no more messy fingers!) and the bowls don't shift around as much - less mess means less work for moms. What more can you ask for?

There were supposed to be given as a house warming present. I saw them on a Lightning Deal one day and the color was perfect for someone I knew, so I snagged them. Unfortunately when I received them at home I couldn't help but want to use them myself.

I thought they would just be good dip/salsa/sauce bowls, but now I find myself and my daughter using them for cereal and microwaved foods too. It is true that they don't get hot to the touch, which is really nice. Plus the inner curved edge keeps all your food inside the bowl, not spilling on you or the table. Now while Green may not have been the best color choice for me, I am enjoying them and yes I did go out and pick up a replacement gift just in time. Eventually I will buy them again (on sale) and gift them like I had originally intended.

I picked these up at a Safeway clearance sale for 3.60 a bowl- and I bought all there were in red. It's a nice fire engine red. The bowls are a very nice size for serving, and because they don't drip, they have protected my tablecloths. The bowls, as other reviewers have said, are also very stable. We've never had one tip over. They also don't seem easy to break- because my children have dropped them on the floor, and we have no dings. I don't use them in the microwave- just because I can't believe it's a good idea (though it's probably safe) but I have put hot food in them, and the other reviewers are 100% correct- these bowls don't heat up, which makes them great for kids. If you use them for baking, though (and I have a couple of times) be careful what you use to stir things in them. Somehow I put some scrapes on the inside of one of the bowls- and I am sure I did it baking, as none of our other bowls have any damage. I found it pretty interesting- and they claim to have a zero landfill policy where they will recycle your used bowl and give you 20% off on another product. I haven't tried to use that policy- so I don't know if it's in place, and I hope I don't need to use it for many years.

Nice, stylish bowls. Great because they can go in the microwave and they won't tip over. Makes a nice popcorn bowl too!

I have been using these bowls for salads. They are light weight and a nice size and shape and do seem to keep things in the bowl better.

I have several of these bowls. My children don't want to use any other bowls for ice cream, cereal, soup and more! I had a family party recently and used them Guests are ordering these now! Well worth the price! You'll love them too!

i was looking for a cereal bowl for my son. he's a big guy and likes a big bowl for his cereal.
the regular "cereal" bowls hold about 6-8 ozs. for my son that is not even a snack.
these bowls are a bit pricey. i really debated about spending that kind of money on a cereal bowl. but they were well worth it.
these bowls hold a great deal of cereal or soup and can be used for other things as well. (love dual purpose stuff) they have a little rubber lip around the bottom so they kind of "stick" to the table and won't slide around.
if you are looking for a bigger bowl for soups etc, this is the one.

I got these bowls on a lightening deal a few weeks ago. I have used them for a dip bowl while eating chips. The dip does not spill out as I am scooping the chip up the side...I would be interested in more of these in a bigger size.
