Calico Critters Britney Bunny?s Ballet Recital

My 6 yo dd who loves ballet is just enchanted with this toy. If you have a little girl who loves animals and ballet, this may well become a favorite toy as it has for mine. The outfits are easy to take on/off and the entire playset is small enough to be easily transported for when you need to travel

This set is adorable. The fancy ballet costumes are very cute. This an especially good gift for children who like to change/play with their Calico Critter's clothes.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter and gave it to her after she preformed in a dance recital. It was perfect as she already loves these Calico Critter animals. They are very special for her. Because of the price she was rewarded one of the houses and figure sets once she mastered the potty! They are very fun for her to play with, she loves all the additions. I love that it is a toy we can expand for special times and that she really takes care of these.

My mother purchased this overpriced bunny elsewhere (she paid $20.00, against my wishes). My rugrat is three, which is younger than the recommendation on the box, which is four plus. She loves this bunny, but has already performed a partial amputation on the fuzzy tail. And keep her away from velour- the bunny, not the rugrat- I put her in my jacket pocket, and she is now covered in a fine layer of blue fuzz (note: bunny is fuzzy as well). Limbs are somewhat stiff. Cute, appropriate accessories. No big "Wow!" here.

Addenda on 6/15/11: "Gap mommies" who can afford these expensive mock mammals with a touch of rigor mortis, please wake up. In my book, the poor tail and big price tag (at least in retail stores) overrides the charming wardrobe.

Yep, more on 9/5/11: Come on, ladies, give me a break! First off, it's not like I gave this bunny only one star. And yes, my rugrat did receive this bunny at age three, but now she is very close to age four and still workin' at the same level of destruction...I can totally see a four-year-old amputating the tail as well. The tail just invites this action somehow. And Calico Critters are expensive everywhere, whether it be here on Amazon, at Toys-R-Us, or an exclusive, independently owned toy shop. I know I am not dreaming that fact up- I have picked up Calico Critters items for inspection only to put them quickly back on the shelf when I view the price. Heck, they were even expensive when they were at Target years ago. And hey, they do have that European flair, but they are made in China...I would think that that fact would bother the "I-loathe-popular-brands-give-me-bohemian" mothers. Sorry, I just cannot join the Calico Critters clique.

10/2/11: Minus one overall star due to the above tail, limbs, and price problems, and because I feel goddess-like when I remove a star. I just crushed Britney's head, a la "Kids in the Hall", and let me tell you- it felt wonderful!
