Calico Critters Family Room with Aquarium

I Bought this in November and stored for my daughter for Christmas and just now put batteries in the items( 3 months later), the fish tank went around for a second and stopped you have to tap it and sometimes it will work for a few seconds and sometimes it will not even when you get it to work it is for just a few seconds. We put a battery in the tv in another set and it worked for a couple of minutes and now it will not work the light is already burnt out it shows very faintly when you turn the knob, I am past the warranty on these I am sure as I have waited to put batteries in them and I am dissapointed as that is two different sets that are not working and each set was [...]...............She obviously played with them fine before the batteries as pieces of furniture but we are dissapointed with the quality of the items for the price. Other than that she loves her calico critters. I just am nervous about putting battery in the nursery set now as two out of two have not worked properly.

I bought this for my daughter and it is her favorite room of her Calico Manor. I found this item very durable and so realistic I want to feed the fish!

Calico critters items are darling. I have 3 1/2 year old twins- a boy and a girl- and we have this set plus the fisher cat family and a kids bedroom set. The kids have indeed played with them for hours, and even my son has been very careful to pick up all the tiny pieces. My quibble is with the fish tank. They loved it- until it was dropped once on our hardwood floor. Now the fish don't turn round anymore. I have a hard time paying good money for a "high quality" toy that gets dropped once and then "it's over". Before I bought this set I had read a few reviews that said the fish tank broke easily- and I discounted them, since I would be supervising their play with this toy (all the small pieces) but it really does happen in the blink of an eye. I would think the company would have children in mind when they are designing the mechanics of a moving piece.

My daughter has this set and absolutely loves it. We haven't had any problems with it breaking as mentioned by another reviewer. All her friends are drawn to it when they come over because of the moving fish! Very cute, great for imaginative play!

My daughter loves it! It's so cute, the fishies swim and it lights up bright blue..unfortunatly it broke as soon as I turned it on and she was very sad :(. The fishies stopped swimming, the light flickered and the motor was like a chain saw. So expect this if it's not broken.

Wonderful concept...aquarium does light up. A couple accessories were missing...the clock and the mugs that go on the table. I believe I got this from a third party vender....need to contact them to let them know...Check for all pieces if getting it from a third party!
