It is such a delight to see WELL-DESIGNED, WELL-MADE toys like this. The details are remarkable. The number of pieces, and tiny pieces, will thrill any little girl. This isn't a cheap toy, but I feel it has real play value and is worth the money.

Long ago, when my daughter was small, she explained the toddler classes of matter, teensey, eensey and peensey, in descending size order. The tiny cutting board and knife and carrots and tiny tomatoes are peensey -- very small and precious.

These are delightful toys. My daughter loves them. So I am very happy.

this is so cute. great for children and adults who used to have these when they were little. detailed to the fullest, it even has slippers for the cook!!

I purchased this set based upon the reviews (which are very accurate) and also the pictures provided by Amazon. It is a wonderful set and the kids love it, we are very pleased. The only problem is that the pictures depict the primarily hunter green set, while we received a cream colored set with different accessories. It has no tablecloth, chair pads or anything of that sort, and the accessory colors are also different. Still cute and still fun, there was no need to send it back, but we did feel that the pictures were deceiving and should be updated. Kids and collectors of all ages will have a great time with this play set; it is durable, nicely sized and there are so many accessories included that it doesn't get boring. Be careful though, it's addictive! Once you start collecting Calico Critters, it can be difficult to stop.

As a little girl, I remember how cool something was if it was in miniature AND had moving parts. This kitchen set delivers all plus more.

The kitchen set is nicely made with a lot of details. All the drawers come out, the oven opens, the refrigerator has shelves not only inside but in the door and the rest of the accessories are perfect. There is a toaster that you can put the bread into, a scale, cookies and a baking tray, a clear refrigerator drawer, lots of vegetables, milk, ice cream, placemats, cutting boards, utensils, etc.

There are a lot of little pieces so we are careful when we are done to pick up all the pieces. This is not the set to play on a shag carpet or out in the grass :-).

A really cute set.

My daughter (7 years) has hours of fun playing with this high quality assortment of critters and their furniture. My son (2) enjoys it as well, but I would not recommend it for his age group. Too many small pieces.

This set has lots of little pieces (food) so be sure to have a container ready to store it all when it's not being played with. Very cute, but sort of hard to play with while it's set up inside of the house (we have the townhome.)

This line of toys is very popular in Japan where we have been living for the past few years. My daughter loves this stuff. It is very detailed and durable. I am glad to see that it is coming to the USA.

A friend who travels to Japan often, bought my daughter a Calico furniture set. My daughter loved it. The pieces are working quality minitures for young kids. Glad to see it here in the U.S. Now i can purchase more sets for her. I bought the kitchen set, the nursery set, the bear family, and the bear baby twins for christmas to add to my daugter's collection.

We bought this along with several other sets for my daughter's 4th birthday. I can't get over the incredible detail in this set. The knobs on the oven actually turn, the oven has racks, the refrigerator has removable shelves and a vegetable bin, and it comes with so many tiny pieces of food. There is even ice, and a toaster with tiny pieces of bread that fit inside. Any little girl who loves to play with tiny things would love this set.

Too cute! perfect for the Critters TownHouse! I love all the details. It's kind of expensive, I wish these would go on sale.
