I had heard the first Bolling Suite for flute and jazz trio with Rampal years ago, but I was not familiar with the second suite. and I have to say this new release swings. Joe Gilman is a great jazz piano player and the rhythm section is real tight with Jeff Neighbor and David Rokeach on bass and drums. But what really knocked me out was the way Laura Zucker can swing on that flute with a dynamite sound, unbelievable fingers, and a way of sending the music up so high. Yea this is one hot flutist!

For many years i have purchased flutist, Laurel Zucker's recordings knowing that I could rely on a consistently good performance and excellent sound quality. Caliente! veers from Zucker's classical field and she captures the Latin mood of the music in this CD. Caliendo's music is fiery as is his guitar playing. This is a winner of a CD.

Christopher Caliendo and Laurel Zucker have a chemistry that works so well. I c'ant stop listening to this CD. My kids won't stop listening. Hopefully these two great musicians will come out with their next CD soon.

I just bought this new recording and I can not stop listening to all these great songs. What a team Zucker and Caliendo make.
