California Baby Super Sensitive Shampoo and Body Wash, No Fragrance, 8.5 Ounce Bottle

When our son was 2 months old he had contact eczema from baby oil. It started and got very bad within one day. I decided to go natural and got the California baby body lotion from whole food market in the evening and applied it to him before going to bed. I just hoped that it should help reduce the rash. When we woke up it was all gone. At that time it really seemed like a miracle. I applied baby oil in the first place because he was having small white heads kind of acne all over his body when I was aveeno baby body wash and lotion. He didn't get even those ever since I started using the California baby supersensitive body lotion and bodywash. Now he is 3.5months and I tried the regular body lotion from California baby and he doesn't have any reaction to it. I would give 5stars to all the products from this brand.

Edited January, 27, 2012. I am very unhappy with this product and even more so with the California Baby company. So I am editing my review. Last year, I gave this product 5 stars. The whole family used this Super Sensitive wash since my daughter was a baby and we gave it as gifts as well. I was so impressed with how gentle it was and now SURPRISE!!! Without telling their customers, they have reformulated and added Sodium Benzoate and who knows what else. - the company was not upfront about this nor were they about other ingredients in their products. I have just learned this recently. California Baby isn't cheap either, but we were buying a lot of it because we thought it was an excellent product. In the last 4 months, my daughter has developed little dry patches and tiny bumps all over her skin and I never guessed it was the wash. She's had this for months and she's been so itchy. I just put this together last night after seeing an article from a reliable source. I had been throwing away everything else because it never occurred to me that it would be this tried and true sensitive wash. SO now I am tossing ALL the California Baby products; shame and I loved their sunscreen too. Also, even though they added these new cheap ingredients I noticed they didn't lower the cost. Many of us paying for a premium low toxicity product for our families and they did the old switcheroo on us..... very deceptive and dishonest. Also, I don't ever remember CB doing any promotional sales for their customers. Customers don't come first with them. So I will find a new company, that's easy. Dolphin Organics is one that I heard good things about and so is Earth Mama Angel Baby. These two I plan to try soon.

This product is labeled "Super Sensitive" for good reason. It has no fragrance, which is almost impossible to find, even in the natural/organic field. There aren't any weird dies, and all the ingredients that are not in layman's terms have layman's descriptions in parenthesizes. It's such a hot product that it can be hard to find at the health food store, and even on-line. So being able to get it on Amazon is awesome. On top of all that it is tear free which is key with small children.

This is a really excellent product. Initially it seemed expensive but because I was looking for a fragrance-free soap I went for it. I'm glad I did. It cleans my baby well and I recommend it to all parents. It's worth a try.

I purchased California Baby shampoo and conditioner for my daughter before she was born based on the recommendations of the Cosmetics Database. My daughter is now two years old and has an eight-month-old brother. Neither of them have used any other kind of shampoo or conditioner and we have never had to deal with any tears because of shampoo or conditioner. These are gentle, mild, and effective. They are fragrance-free but have a very gentle and pleasant smell to them. We do not have issues with tangles even in my daughter's long, fine hair. Even when the conditioner has gotten in her eyes a few times, it hasn't seemed to bother her any more than plain water; she just blinks it out. And after two years of use, we still have half a bottle left of each product! Even just a little bit of it goes a long ways. I highly recommend California Baby's products and feel that the initial cost is well worth it. You will not regret buying this product.

My daughter suffered from baby eczema the first year of her life. We used this soap and it was wonderful! It soothed the eczema and helped get rid of it. I highly recommend it!

The scent of this shampoo is great and not too strong and my twin boys seem to like it a lot. My husband and I emptied out a Bath & Body foaming hand dispenser and mixed this shampoo with some water to get foamy shampoo & body wash that we like bathing our babies in and our babies enjoy being washed with. Great product, just wish it were a bit less expensive... but when it comes to your infants, it's still worth it for them not to have an allergic reaction.

My baby has sensitive skin (nothing overly harsh like excema) and most shampoos either gave him a rash OR dried my hands out terribly!!!! (And I tried all sorts of "sensitive formular" shampoos. I finally resorted to this even though its a bit pricey. Its meant for super sensitive skin and it definatelt foots the bill.

- its runny, I would like it a little thicker (*get the pump version...its easier to control how much you get)

I would prefer this had a litle bit of nice scent but the sensitivity is the most important aspect.

I'm an adult but I have very sensitive skin. This shampoo works great - it leaves my hair shiny and manageable.
