Great for my daughter's dry skin!,
By So not only is this product mostly natural ingredients, it really works. I love the smell, too and she hasn't had dandruff since. She still has dry skin but it's much MUCH better.

Pros: smells wonderful (which is rare for a tea tree oil product), gets the best rating possible according to Skin Deep Cosmetics rating database (excellent for someone with scalp issues not just kids) and leaves hair shiny.
cons: expensive, the shampoo doesn't foam well (this is a trade off for not having nasty chemicals in it - I don't mind, but if you like a good foam this isn't the product for you), isn't great with tangles. Overall I really like this product and will get it again.

We love this shampoo. Key is to use it sparingly, to get your money's worth... a little goes a long way. My children spent several days in close contact to two children who we then learned were infested with lice. My two children never got it. Maybe I can give the shampoo credit???!!! Children have never complained about stinging eyes either.

Irritated My Baby's Scalp,

I was using Burt's Bees Baby Shampoo, but when I looked up it's rating on the Skin Deep Web site (7/10), I stopped using it and switched to California Baby (1/10). I was especially thrilled to read on the label it was good for cradle cap (my son has a pretty bad case). After use, however, his scalp was red and irritated. I should have known better as the California Baby Calendula Cream a friend recommended for Diaper Rash also turned his bottom bright red. It's a shame, but these products are just not for my baby, who is clearly sensitive to one or more ingredient.

My daughter had an operation on her skull at 3 months old and has had to wear an orthotic helmet 23 hours a day since then. This is the best soap/shampoo I found that was both safe enough for her post-surgery scalp and also helped get rid of the smellies from wearing a plastic hat all day long. I use this to wash her hair every day and her skin and scalp are perfect and smell great!

I've used this shampoo with my 2.5 year old daughter and now with my 2 month old son. It leave my daughter's hair silky smooth with a light fragrance. I've heard that the tea tree oil can help prevent lice. That's reason enough for me to use it!

From the beginning, my sighted had cradle cap and this product was specifically recommended by her pediatrician. It works well, gets rid of dandruff and keeps it away. The smell is lovely and there are no tears when it gets in her eyes. It would be perfect but it is quite expensive I think. We have tried other kid dandruff shampoos and are always disappointed and come back to this one.

Got rid of the Cradle Cap,
This review is from: California Baby Shampoo & Body Wash - Tea Tree & Lavender, 8.5 oz (Health and Beauty)
I tried this on a whim after using Neutrogena T-Gel & other stronger shampoos to no avail. This got rid of my daughter's cradle cap & smelled delicious. I've continued to use it on her fine, curly hair & have been pleased with how manageable her hair is, even without conditioner. I LOVE this stuff.

Just got the bottle yesterday and already I'm unsure of what it says to be. My daughters eyes were instantly burning as she got a little in her eyes when washing her face.
