Don't discard this book after you pass your test. It will be current for several years. It may even be current when you take your next test. DMV laws don't change very often and good driving rules never change. Rock Kimball's DVD, "Road Test Tips" is an excellent supplement for this book. It is also available from amazon.com.

This book not only gave me information to pass the test, it gave me the confidence I was sorely lacking. I was dreading testing day, but was actually at ease by the time it came, thanks to California Drivers Test Made Easy. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Ms. Syman presents the information so clearly and completely that it eliminates all guesswork.

Go ahead: Commit a Random Act of Kindness: You'll be doing yourself a big favor as well, when you buy the new California Drivers Test Made Easy by Alice B. Syman, for a friend or relative, and a second copy for yourself (can't we all use a little brush-up on our driving skills?). This affordable manual is for California drivers specifically but anyone from any state will enjoy this book, with its easy-to-read format, informal style, and delightful graphics.

Ms. Syman shows us, step-by-step, how to pass the California original or renewal Class C "Basic" License test. The well-organized chapters cover subjects of general driving interest as well as "Safer Driving for Seniors," "Younger Drivers," "Recreational Vehicles," "Road Hazards and Emergencies," "Road Rage" and many more. A glossary of terms leaves no questions unanswered. The book is spiced with amusing stories and valuable "insider" advice.

Ms. Syman has permission to publish California Department of Motor Vehicles' test questions. After passing the sample tests in her book, you will pass when you actually go for your drivers license test. NO MORE TEST-DAY JITTERS!

This book is helpful to senior drivers, especially those who may have to take a written and a driving test for a renewal. I purchased the original "Califonia Drivers Test Made Easy" several years ago when I took my first CA driving test and again 5 years ago when my wife came down from Canada. In both cases it was an essential tool to make sure that we were ready for the test. Alice updates her book constantly and this is really needed because the CA driving laws change all the time.

Having scored well in the book tests gives you a really good level of confidence since practically 100% of the questions you will be asked are in the book.

So when I decided to take a CA Motorcycle test last year (which is a mix of regular driving test questions and motorcycle related questions) I went back and obtained the latest copy of Alice's book. Of course again, that was the right thing to do.

Bottom line: Alice book is a MUST for anyone that wants to take the CA Drivers test examination with the confidence needed to pass it.

I highly recommend Alice's book.
