Loads of techie waypoints, but no additional content,

This review is from: California GPS Companion (Paperback)
This is an outstanding book if you want to locate any major or minor city, airport, harbor or point of interest in California, but the book is nothing but an alpha listing of thousands of place names, followed by the GPS coordinate, and the category, such as city, park, etc. There is no additional text or maps added! Therefore, it's great for either aviation use, or to demo a GPS for your friends, but as far as programming a GPS with how to travel from point "A" to point "B", it's pretty useless. Still, it's very small, compact, and a perfect thing to toss in the glove box whenever someone asks "Are we there yet?" -Rich

Just a location list,

I would not recommend this. It's just a list of places with GPS coordinates. I guess I thought there would be more. I looked at it a couple times and filed it away to a dusty book shelf.
