Great book, but know this!,

This review is from: California Ghost Town Trails (Paperback)
ALthough this book is indead informative, with well drawn maps and locations, you should be forwarned that this book is not a book for those looking for descriptive file on said ghost towns. If you want more info on a particular ghost town, you should look into books that channel each town into it's own sub-divison. Why? Because a book that's trying to squeeze in 100 some ghsot towns will likely only tell you where it is and maybe a slight history, whereas a more detailed book(say ghost towns of Nevada) will show more insight into a particualar town.
However! This book is good, and any weekend explorer will no doubt find it's maps and info very usefull, as I did. Just don't expect an elaborate history!

Purchased the book to locate ghost towns to explore in California. Very sad I wasted the $9 I guess if you are looking for a very short book for reading material while in the restroom it would be okay but the local newspaper would be a better buy.
