Picture Book for Study of Gold Rush,
By Leanne Chapman (Pacifica, Ca) - See all my reviews
This review is from: California Gold Rush - Pbk (New Cover) (Paperback)
This book brings the California Gold Rush alive with wonderful pictures of the pioneer life in California. Historic names are woven into actual dialogue that makes one feel like they are a part of this history. "Boys, I believe I've found gold!" The pictures show the hard work, severe weather, entertainment and some prosperity. The pictures are black and white sketches and accompany an easy read text for fourth grade. I highly recommend this book.
