I purchased this book because the previous edition (2nd) had great reviews. So far so good. I just completed the first practice exam, however, and found two typos. #51: the letter next to answer on the answer key should be 'A' not 'D'. #62: correct answer is 'B', not 'A'(as stated on the answer key.

Lots of great information in this book. The practice tests were especially helpful. In fact, the practice tests were harder than the real test. I passed on the first try.

With the help of this book and some disciplined studying on my part, I passed this test. If your interested in taking the test, look no further then this material here.

Bought this book to study for the POST test and I didn't realize it came with info for everything! PLUS the Free internet test was extremely helpful. Give this book a try and hopefully I see you at academy!

Failed my first time taking the test, with this book it helped me understand reasons why I may have missed questions and strategies for approaching it better the 2nd time around. Plus w/ the sample tests you can know where your areas of opportunity are. Highly recommended.

This book helped me prepare for (and PASS!!!) my recent CHP written examination. There are two sample tests that are very similar to the actual exam which make for a great study guide. However, it should be known that the real exam is slightly larger. I was disappointed with the third "online" practice exam as I expected it to have different questions than the first two practices. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend this product to anyone choosing to enter the California Highway Patrol.

If you are serious about passing the CHP test than this is the book for you. Follow the instructions exactly and you will pass. I studied for a month and passed with a T-Score of 62.3 on my first try. Money WELL spent.

Extremely helpful book. Everyone starting the hiring process should take advantage of this book. Very helpful and the content is specific to the CHP.
