This review is from: California Ranchos (We the People: Expansion and Reform series) (We the People (Compass Point Books Paperback)) (Paperback)
4th graders in California are required to learn their State's history. This was an excellent resource for information about what life was like on California ranchos (steer ranches) just prior to the gold rush of 1849. Appealing to the children and quality information. I wish they had it earlier in the school year, well worth the $.
