I really loved this book because it depicts a vast collection of antique California pottery, furniture and art in a variety of different environments, indoors and outdoors, from Mediterranean to Modern. There is also an infusion of some of the most beautiful hand-crafted ironwork I have ever seen being used on frames, gates, pottery stands, fountains and much more.

This book is a must have for anyone who is interested in learning more about California pottery from the 1920s 30s and 40s, anyone looking for design ideas, or anyone just looking for inspiration.

We're building a spanish revival eco home and this book was indispensable to us. We incorporated many of the ideas into our current construction. And it reminded us of a lot of details we had forgotten

CALIFORNIA REVIVAL: VINTAGE DECOR FOR TODAY'S HOMES covers a new movement in indoor-outdoor design which blends vintage furnishings, paintings and decorative arts from the Spanish Revival period of the 1920s to 40s. Over five hundred color images with captions and historical text covers pottery, furniture, murals, ironwork and more in an excellent survey of the decor and its incorporation into interiors ranging from homes to public buildings. While this could have been recommended for California collections alone, it's reviewed here for its wider appeal to any in-depth art or architectural library.

I am so enjoying this wonderful book. I have purchased several books on the California/Spanish Revival period and this book is the best so far. Great pictures and descriptions. I pick it up again and again. So glad I bought it!
