I first read about this oil in Cooks Illustrated magazine. Here's what I love:
1) highest smoke point--I see cooking shows all the time heating up olive oil in a saute pan--DON"T!
2) VERY neutral flavor--whether baking, pan frying, marinating, etc. the oil flavor is in the background
3) doesn't solidify in the fridge (in salad dressings, marinades, etc.) like olive oil
4) best oil out there for good fat composition

Everyone touts olive oil as so good for you, and it does have its place, as does grapeseed oil. But if you only want to buy ONE healthy oil for many cooking uses, buy this--you won't be sorry.

*Note: when my bottles arrives they each had a little bit of oil leakage around the top. Even though the bottles are sealed on top in plastic wrapper they are NOT sealed underneath the cap. I contact the manufacturer and alerted them to this--maybe they'll make a change.

I originally bought a gallon bottle directly from California Rice Bran Oil Company but decided I'd rather have smaller bottles opened (for freshness) since it takes me a while to use it up. Amazon was cheaper for a 3-pack with free super saver shipping.

This is a wonderful deal for the best oil for cooking - rice bran oil. ONLY COMPLAINT -- should be in GLASS bottles, not PLASTIC!!

I have purchased this oil from California Rice Oil Co. before and the price is great and the service is the best. I compared many companies before ordering and none were comparable. I was surprised at the size of the bottle for the price. I have been using this oil for about 20 years and it just makes food taste so good and yours taste better and richer. When I heard from my favorite restaurant about the high smoking point of rice bran oil I knew I wanted to use it for cooking. This was the best option I could find, and I am totally happy with it. The price was right (especially because I did not have to pay for shipping), the bottle is attractive, the taste is nice, and I feel like I am using a safe and healthy product.

The oil is very nice - quite neutral-tasting. I like that it's sold in several smaller bottles rather than one large one, so that it stays fresher.

I can't get rice bran oil at all locally, so I was really glad to find this at such a reasonable price. Some others are cheaper, but the shipping is very expensive - this one is a great deal with the free supersaver shipping.

I purchased this based on a story I read about its nutritional qualities. I haven't used it a lot yet, but for the times I have, I have been really impressed. It is a very light and doesn't burn or smoke easily.

For those that want to get away from vegetable oil or one that seems to be more versatile, I would certainly recommend trying this one.

The price is good, I would try this product if it were in glass. Plastic leaches, especially into oil and oil-based products. Best to buy cooking oils in glass bottles.

I recieved this in timely manner. Was packed good. The taste is very good,if you taste it at all. No smoking if gets a little too hot. I liked the smaller bottles,so does'nt get old before using all of it.

I basically use this oil for frying foods. I do not eat much fried but when i do catfish or porkchops i use this oil and it enhances the flavor of the food and it does not smoke. Great product.

I like getting three bottles instead of buying in a gallon size. I use this for frying and save the olive oil for salad dressings.
