Fantastic trail guides!
This is a great product to take on hikes, etc. with young naturalists! I'd recommend buying it as a set with California Wildlife: An Introduction to Familiar Species (State Nature Guides) and Dangerous Animals & Plants: An Introduction to Dangerous North American Species (North American Nature Guides)!

Ok..But limited
This is not a book but rather a laminated, folded pamphlet. Its ok for beginners but definitely doesn't come even close to listing the various flora species in California. However, it has great illustrations and adds a little (very little) description of each. I would have bought something a little more extensive, but still not bad for the money.
