Muir Review,

This review is from: The Caliphate: Its Rise, Decline and Fall from Original Sources (Hardcover)
Not a bad book, the sourcing and footnotes need work. Muir did this study before PC took hold in recent culture. His conclusions at the end would disqualify him in the eyes of many. This isn't to say he didn't have a lot to offer. Used the primary sources of old recorders of the Caliph's.
I used this book as a supplement to other such as Madelung.
