Amazing,
By A Customer
This review is from: Call to Arms (Audio CD)
With the demise of past hard-core heroes such as the Bad Brains and Cro-Mags, Sick of it All are now the reigning kings. They seem to tighten up, get more wild, and write catchier melodies each album, this one being their best. Next to SOIA, bands like Earth Crisis and Hatebreed seem very week and juvenille. SOIA have really got it together and it shows on this masterpiece.

Sick of it All -- Bringing it back to the old school!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Call to Arms (Audio CD)
When "Built to Last" was released, many people were disappointed in the direction SOIA was going musically. Many songs on "Built to Last" were more melodious than their usual stuff, and that left a lot of fans disappointed (I for one, LOVED "Built to Last"). "Call to Arms" brings back the chaos of Sick of it Alls earlier releases. It also incorporates the heaviness of "Scratch the Surface". This CD, in my opionion, is their craziest release to date. Fast, to the point (most songs are less than 2 minutes long), and heavy music from the worlds best hardcore band.

Welcome to Fat Wreck Chords!,

Ironically the album that gets an average 4 star rating from Amazon Customers is the album I like the least out of all their albums. It took a while for this album to grow on me which NEVER happens with A Sick Of It All album but after a lot of listens and more of an open mind I've come to like this CD a lot more then I did when it first came out. Musically Sick Of It All Progresses even further with this cd while keeping some of the classic elements from earlier albums in tact. Their video for "Potential For A Fall" is another classic video produced by the band and my favorite track on the CD. Other highlights include, Let Go, Falter, Falling Apart, Quiet Man, Sanctuary, Call To Arms and Just(A Patsy). Definitely worth a purchase!
