Better May Come.,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Call on the Blues (Audio CD)
I had previously bought one of his after "Telephone Road" and it wasn't as good. But this album seems to get back to where he began. From a fast "Wound Up" followed by a slower "You Can Call On The Blues", his vocal is really good. All the songs after this are great, "I Do It All For You", "Short & Stout" goes to a more rock genre, with a harmonica by Dave Nevling. Nevling also shines on "Laugh To Keep From Cryin'", followed by "Down For The Count" back to great Mark guitar & vocal. Over all it's a great album if you're a Mark may fan.

A Rocking CD,
By Arthead (Dallas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Call on the Blues (Audio CD)
Originally released in 1995 this is a sweet CD that hasn't lost it's charm over the years. If you appreciate upbeat blues full of juicy guitar you'll enjoy this band. Just listen to "Wound Up" all the way through and you'll know exactly what I mean and while that tune alone is worth the price of admission, this recording is "jammed full" of solid music.

My Man Mark May,

This review is from: Call on the Blues (Audio CD)
Get anywhere near Houston, see my man Mark May and band. Real fine players, great guys, great song selection and great blues-men.
Tell them to wear their USS Houston CA-30 T-Shirts and honor our traditional and current vets.
