Arresting music,

Sean Costello is the best new guitarist I've heard in years. His versatlity and creativity are amazing for such a young artist. I predict great things for him, and can't wait for his new album to come out.

The Real Deal,
By A Customer
This review is from: Call the Cops (Audio CD)
After listening to this CD, I have come to the conclusion that this music is reminiscent of the original Blues that have been alive in my area since the early part of the century. Being from the Mississippi Delta, we are exposed to Blues greats such as B.B.King and Muddy Waters. With these people to compete with, someone would have to be exceptional. Sean Costello and his Jivebombers are that. They sound like the Blues that originated in the Mississippi Delta. To me, that sounds like the "Real Deal"!

Ladies and gentlemen please stand up, we are in the presence of one of most talented blues guitarist ever appeared on the scene! If you take into account that he was only 16 years old when he recorded this true masterpiece, you should wonder what he would be able to deliver when he will be more mature. I have no doubts, Sean Costello is the future of the blues. He plays with the intensity, the feeling and the ability of a true master, his solos are always very well built and balanced, his technique is terrific, his tone control is perfect and his use of the vibrato is stunning. Just listen to "Blues para mi Angelita" or "I'm leaving" and you will realise that I am not joking. His style reminds me something of the great young Peter Green perfectly mixed with a touch of B. B. King and a hint of Ronnie Earl. No concessions to any other gender in his music just "pure", "traditional" blues, from Chicago stile to Delta to West Coast jumping blues, all played with great feeling and respect for the great masters of the past. He must have been grown up with milk and "Muddy Waters" by his parents! I am very pleased to see that the future of the blues is in good hands

This cd is clearly the emergence of a terrific young blues guitarist. Sean Costello plays the blues like he has lived them. He will be heard from again.

Talented young guitarist delivers a solid first cd.,

Keep an eye on this kid. An excellent guitarist who will definitely be a household name in a few years. The music is primarily 50's style blues-jump blues. The supporting band is excellent as well...check out "Everybody Wants Her" and you'll see why this is a special talent.

Yes, this is an amazing CD. However, I am sad to say that Sean Costello died in an Atlanta hotel room on or around Tuesday, April 14th. He was an incredible musician and a very nice guy all around. Sean, you will be forever missed by all of us who knew you.

I recently saw Sean perform in San Diego. His guitar playing is truly amazing. However, I found his taste in music sort of sucky, rather New York-ish. R&B that tries too hard.
