This guide is hardcovered and semi-gloss shiny. It looks awesome. Every page is colored and it goes through the campaign, spec-ops and the different Multiplayer maps and game types. In addition, this version has the Ghost Comic included along with a laminated fold out map with all 16 Multiplayer Maps which you can use a dry erase marker to write on. I haven't really used the guide much as I want to keep it pristine condition for more of collector's item but I did notice that while it doesn't provide you with details on how to beat the game on veteran's level, they do have a veteran level hint box. It also has all the detailed information on each Multiplayer weapon, secondary weapon, their attachments, and all the perk info. This book is definitely useful if you want to customize your own ultimate custom class. (It's good for reference only since customization of weapons works best if you try it for yourself.)

The first two reviews seemed detailed and accurate. I don't usually give 5 stars, but I couldn't think of anything lacking or unnecessary here. The book fulfills it's role perfectly. Usually these books will miss something important or give to much attention to something trivial, but this one's dead on.

Something I wanted to mention. For some reason, I had thought that this deluxe guide was the only one with detailed maps. I had thought the laminated maps were the only maps and you needed the deluxe guide to get them. The maps inside the book are more detailed and useful to me than the laminated ones. The laminated maps would be great for you if you actually needed them to write on.

I actually bought this deluxe edition instead of the standard for the laminated maps. Now I think the laminated maps are unnecessary, but am still pleased with the aesthetic quality of the deluxe edition.

So, If you don't want to spend a lot, but feel you need those laminated maps, don't worry about them (unless you really wanted to write on them). All gimmicks aside, if you want a bargain, the non deluxe guide has all you need. If you're willing to spend $10 more to get a nicer quality of the same book, then go for it. This is the nicest game guide I've ever read.

I got this book before I got the game, so I had some time to look it over before I played it. I didn't get the regular strategy guide so I don't know how good that one is.

To start out the book is hardback with a folded up piece of laminated paper. With the paper fully unfolded it has full printer paper sized maps of all the multiplayer maps online. The maps are covered with plastic to act as a dry-erase board. This is helpful to help plan out strategies and to plan out your attack with your team online.

The book is very nice and is well detailed. The guide is very good and covers the game in-depth. It has a walkthrough of the entire campaign without spoiling any of of the events to come ahead, which I like. It also covers each special ops mission in depth and with great walkthroughs. The third major part of the book (and I say 'major' because it takes up half of the book) is the multiplayer section. This section covers every inch and every microscopic detail that could be covered about the online experience. It covers what multiplayer is and what it is all about, it covers options, it covers extras, it covers achievements, it covers the different types of multiplayer, it covers every single gun and weapon with stats and with all unlockables, it covers perks, killstreaks, and ranks, it has tips and advice; and to top it all off it has every single map for every type of multiplayer with detailed layouts and with tips and tricks to help you along the way. The last little bit of the book covers all the extras and achievements and how to get them, online and offline, that you need to complete the game 100%.

The book has so much information that I still haven't been able to read every part of it yet. The book looks very nice with pictures from the game on every page and with a very nice looking layout.

If you are a Modern Warfare enthusiast looking to complete the game 100%, this guide would be the one to choose.

I have seen many strategy guides, but this one is just beautiful. The hard cover and the glossy pages makes this a wonderful gift. I bought 3 of these so I could give them out to my buddies as Christmas gifts. They are loving it. The book has evrything you need to know about the campaign levels and they give you suggested strategies on how to play different games in the multiplayer mode. There is information in the guide that I had no idea that existed in the game I love the lamentaed maps. I just feel so bad writing on it because it looks so nice.

If you are new to Call of Duty MW2 you should buy this strategy guide. It's well written, clear and concise. The Sea Sniper clan has done a great job outlining campaign strategy and multi player strategies plus maps for you to study. I went from a 11 to 20 Kill/Death ratio to a 25\11 kill death ratio. I have followed the guides advice on weapons/classes and overall tactics and have increase my multi game play dramatically.

I purchased the Prestige edition because I like to collect these things. It's a good buy and I highly recommend to everyone.

This didn't help me at all. I got online with inside information from this guide, but got my @$$ waxed by 8 year olds still. Nothing can help you playing kids with twice the reflexes and hand eye coordination. Not only that, but they don't have a job, so while I was away making money to try and survive they were honing their skills live during the day. I don't think they go to school, instead they just play Modern Warfare games nonstop making any strategy guide a waste of money. Pass on this, make being called a "n00b" less costly.

This strategy guide delivers a lot. No, not EVERY challenge is in there. A couple of maps are missing items, but errata can be found on website. The guide gives you a nice walkthru, with tips for the higher settings. Like all strategies, the way they suggest is not always perfect for you.

I like the weapons listing, with bar graphs for accuracy, fire rate, etc. so one can compare. Emblems are not there. Titles are there, but no pics. Challenges are there, but I think not exactly correct.

The guide walks you through single-player, gives you tips on multi-player and special ops (challenges a single player can do, but more fun with a friend). Maps of levels. This prestige edition is hard cover, and has unfolding maps of the initial multiplayer pack you can write on with dry-erase markers (there has since been a release of new maps). If those two things don't matter to you, save some dough and buy the paperback.

I would definitely buy this again.

This is a very imformative guide that gives you alot of information about the game. I bought it but to be honest, I haven't read it all the way through. Maybe just the first mission and I can't say I'm going to be dedicated enought to the game to blow off a weekend sitting down in front of my tv trying to get every piece of intel. If you're more into the online aspect, this doesn't really help you out too much, it just gives you the maps which you will figure out as you progress in skill. It does have an informative section that talks about setting up clans if thats what you want to do. For the most part this guide is just for hardcore gamers only.

Very good guide but unless you want a collectors item or need special maps, just buy the normal one for 10 dollars less but if you are willing to spend more.. It is a very good guide and a nice design.
