5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read for Committed Christians
I must admit to being leary of anything that smacks of "this present weirdness" in Christian literature. Whether I agree with all of the author's doctrine is not the issue. 1.0 out of 5 stars sssscriptural assassin....
I own this book and I have to say that at least it provides me with a source of good symbolism and allegory for novels. That is the only good point it has...inspiration for a good sci-fi or war book.

When I first read this book, it hyped me up, although I had a few reservations about it. However, it is now clear that this book is meant to deceive...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read for Committed Christians, April 21, 2000
This review is from: The Call (Paperback)
I must admit to being leary of anything that smacks of "this present weirdness" in Christian literature. Whether I agree with all of the author's doctrine is not the issue. The truth of the message comes through loud and clear, and this book will challenge you to your very core as a Believer. It is a book about living in these Last Days, about discerning the true from the false, about religious activity versus living a life that will bring glory to God. It is a wake up call for all Christians.

Rick Joyner's sequel to The Final Quest will reach deep into your heart with a divine understanding of God's will for His Church in these last days. The author takes us on a riveting journey into the ever surprising realms of the Spirit. The truths he learns along the way illumine Scripture and reveal the glorious destiny of the Church, both individually and corporately. This book is a treasure chest of godly wisdom and revelation that you'll want to dip into again and again!

5.0 out of 5 stars PLEASE READ MY COMMENTARY!!!!!!!, October 31, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Call (Hardcover)
This book is not an ordinary book. This man ,Rick Joyner has been given a divine word from Jesus Himself to go to the world and show us truth. Rick was taken in the Spirit to fight within the spirit (Literally). He then went to heaven where he met Several people of the faith including The Apostle Paul who is now a King in the divine order. It (The Book) makes one to see the essence of our very own existence. I have tried to persuade everyone I can to read this. But I know the book is true because it lines up perfectly with Scripture. The beginning has an emphasis on the fruits of the Spirit, our weapons etc. Jesus spoke to Rick Joyner in PERSON, and gave him a word to you and me.The emphasis is on humility, love, faithfulness and purity of intent.Acording to the great Christian writer who took much pride in his works ,now in heaven,"Seek the Glory of the Savior Alone ;anything other than that can take you off the path of life " [papraphrase].Please do not fail to get the Words of The Lord. Godbless you as you read it.I happen to have experienced a couple of those spritual "Electric shocks that seemed like fire ", and I testify that this book is real, faithful and true. One can write excessive volumes to elaborate on every single line;Obviously it is not the wisdom of Joyner that could have enabled him to write all that wisdom in such a short piece. Now I really want to preach the gospel and I hop the good Lord will call me wherever he wants me to go.

5.0 out of 5 stars MOVING AND CONVICTING, November 23, 1999

This review is from: The Call (Hardcover)
This work speaks to the inner man, reveals hidden sin and the grace and mercy of the Most High God. Words are very insignificant to express the impact this book has had in my life. If you are seeking a better understanding of the mind of Christ, this is a must read. This book is an adventure in the plan of God.

I read this book twice, once during a 4 day fast and once during a regular lifestyle. The Final Quest 3 times. Twice on regular lifestyle, the third time during a 3 day fast. Each time I read them the Holy Spirit revealed even more truths to me. I recommend it highly. A must read for all believers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Besides the Bible, it's the greatest book I've ever read, October 3, 2003

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Call (Hardcover)
I am reading the book "The Vision" for the 9th time, and am still learning. After a few chapters it became obvious that this was not written by human intelligence, but a divinely inspired vision.
Here is how the book has changed me...
1. It exposed many flaws in my Christian walk, a supposedly mature believer.
2. It radically increased my confidence and faith in God.
3. It shot to pieces my faith in man and myself.
4. It gave me a sobering look at who the enemy is, and what are his tactics.
5. It gave me a perspective of the biblical truths that I couldn't find anywhere else.
And has filled in many of the missing pieces or our Christian Faith. Now everything fits together and I have a new overall view of who God is, and His wonderful creation.

I've came to the conclusion that without reading this book, many people will be unprepared for the things that are coming. A must read for the mature Christian.

5.0 out of 5 stars Truth 2, January 25, 2006
This review is from: The Call (Paperback)
This is also brilliant, but read The Final Quest first.

In this book truth is shouting so hard that if you do not hear it, you truly are blind and deaf. I pray for each person who cannot hear.

Again the guidance and awakening I experienced through this book can come only from God.

May God open your heart and mind to truth

5.0 out of 5 stars Wake-Up Call, October 10, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Call (Paperback)
Along with its prequel, The Final Quest, The Call is a wake-up call to today's church! I can't count the number of times the descriptions raised my goose-bumps. We need to be aware that an enemy of the church does exist, that spiritual warfare is going on (whether we like the idea or not), and that a wise Christian will not bury his/her head in the sand. We need to develop wisdom, discipline & skill to fight well in the battles that WILL come our way. This book provides a lot of wisdom in an easy-to-read, easy-to-comprehend fashion - and the author is very honest about his own struggles and errors, and is not "preaching from a pedestal." HIGHLY recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Powerful message for powerful times!, May 14, 2008
By
Peter D. (Paderborn, Germany) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Call (Paperback)
This is one of three books (The Final Quest Series) which contain propheties about the times we live in and times to come. Personally, I found these books amazing. I also realize that there are many negative comments about this prophecy and prophecies in general. There is only one thing that really needs to be kept in mind, the Word of God.

John 16:12-14 (New International Version)
12"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.

The books are easy to read like a science fiction novel. They moved me to tears many times and revealed many truths. Of cause they are not to be treated like scripture, but Rick Joyner says that himself at the beginning of each book.
