Best Russian-English Dictionary by Far,

This is the most thorough dictionary I've ever used. The definitions are always right, and she doesn't use highly obscure words. It's useful for more than just scientific translation. Too bad it is so prohibitively expensive.

I do a lot of technical translations. So far, Callaham's Russian-English Dictionary of Science and technology (4th ed) has been the most helpful reference out of a host of dictionaries at my disposal. Whenever I need to take a translation test (ATA cetification, for example), I bring this dictionary with me (there is no need to drag a bag-full of heavy technical dictionaries with me).
