I bought this game again after years. Why? Because one sequence of conversation has stuck out in my mind as not only well-scripted, but outstandingly voiced. Imagine my surprise, after playing for an hour again, that the whole game appears to be exceptionally well written humor. Maybe the best, ever. (And I've played dozens of games a year, over decades.)
The conversation is so clever it stuns me, but the cleverness extends to descriptions of inanimate objects in the background -- that aren't used for gameplay at all. If all text-adventure-supported-by-graphics games were like this ... the obsession with 3D shooters would have been infinitely delayed.
The only con is that the music, while adequate, is not on a separate track. I don't listen to music in computer games, so I frequently need to turn the volume down, working through the intricate scenes.
If you like humorous games, this is a must. Not to set expectations too high, but there is *nothing* as amusing as this one.
