better than advertised,
By Darwin's Bulldog "skumber" (Geneva, IL United States) - See all my reviews The secret to this thing is to use it properly. It teaches wrist lag and releasing thru the impact zone, improves balance and strength. For wrist lag alone it is worth it. You can make 1/2 swings holding your hands back as long as you can. Just keep your wrist flat, don't cup it. Swing plane is maintained by starting down with the edge of your left hand, that keeps you from coming over the top. If you use it on a light carpet you can see where the black rubber end is tracking in the impact zone - if it is making an arc around your body, that's a hook. Try for inside to outside, extending your arms thru impact and finishing high. It is shorter than a wedge and never touches the floor which takes some getting used to. The grip is big, way bigger than a club; not certain why. But you can swing it in any room and setup for driver / short iron by altering your stance. My only complaint is it won't help you putt better.

I used this all winter just to stay loose. My drives last year were about 230-240. I went out yesterday and I was easily 260, sometimes into a stiff wind. I was 1 club longer, plus I was much straighter, actually had a draw. Usually I'm left then right then center, but all were straight - perhaps it was a dream. The secret to this thing is to use it properly. It is not the carrier, UPS, I believe, who is at fault. The seller apparently packaged the product loose in the box. There was no padding whatsoever in the box. It was rattling around in the box when I received the product. There is no way for me to tell whether it was damaged internally, but the external condition appears OK. Thank you, UncleBob |
