Vertical CG Optimization
The club design includes a thinner crown to allow for a lower center of gravity (CG), putting it in-line with where most amateurs strike the ball on the clubface. The result is high, strong trajectories so the ball flies farther and lands softer.

Unique Sole Design
The unique sole design offers better versatility and playability by creating efficient impact with the face to maximize distance, consistency and accuracy from a variety of turf conditions.

Offset Hosel
Designed to provide a look that boosts confidence at address and provides greater workability, the offset hosel assists in squaring the clubface at impact. The Tour model has less offset to enhance workability.

VFT Technology
With Callaway's VFT Technology, the club creates higher ball speeds across the entire face, meaning hotter distance with more consistency. The face is thicker in the center and ultra-thin around the edges, which allows more energy from the impact of the clubface to be transferred to the ball.

I carry a 1i, 2i and 5i in addition to this new 3i which I purchased to replace an older 4i which just didn't get used that much on the courses I'm playing. I'm a 6 handicap and I love Cleveland products, they're very dependable. There doesn't seem to be a round now that I don't hit this at least once. I can count on 170 to 190 yards depending on conditions, lie, etc. Easy to hit.

As a medium/high handicapper I have never been able to hit fairway woods with any degree of confidence: I use a 3 or 4 iron 90% of the time.

Since everyone I know says how wonderful "rescue" hybrids are I relented and bought a Callaway 4 Edge hybrid some months ago - and it was an epiphany! Just about every hit was straight, high and as long as my irons.

Now I have the 3 Edge as well I can only say that these hybrids do all that is claimed for them - and more.

Buy - but not if we are playing against each other!
