I was skeptical of Drivers in general. I am a 13 handicapper who used to trade drivers yearly. My current driver had been in my bag for 3 years, and I thought it was pretty good. I took my 11 year old daughter to the driving range and they had demo days, with no room for us to just practice, so I thought I would show the Callaway rep that his new drivers were no better than the driver I bought 3years ago. I hit my driver 250-260, I can slice or hook with the best of them (probably why my handicap doesnt improve). I hit this driver, Diablo Edge - not the tour edition- and it went 275-285 which was great, but most importantly it went STRAIGHT as an arrow. So I think I'm just on today and grab my old driver.... Same old pattern. 250 left 235 right, and no control over which was coming. Back to the Diablo- it's flying straight and long again. I tried the other drivers.... The diablo edge tour edition (not as good for me), the latest Taylor mades, Cobras, etc. For me, this driver was head and shoulders above the others. It has played that way on the course, too. I couldn't be happier with a driver than this one.

I purchased this driver with the intent to resell it for a little profit(Dicks was having a double-your-trade-in deal). I'm a 15-16 handicap, and was previously hitting a Titelist 907D2. I hit off the tee with a slight natural draw, but mostly straight. However, when I miss, it's always to the right (slice). I was never a real believer in buying new equipment to help your golf game. Fix the swing, not the club, right?

Just for kicks, I put this in my bag for a few rounds, and let's just say it's been in there for 3 months now. This club helps IMMENSELY with off center hits. There are times I know I'm barely grabbing a piece of the ball with the toe, or clipping it with the heel. The club still manages to shrug it off and get the ball moving forward. My bad slices have turned more into fades, as in, they're not in the rough and under the trees, but right on the edge of the fairway. I'm not saying this club is a miracle worker. I can still manage to let a nasty shot loose, but for those XX% of shots, that are just so close to being playable 2nd shots after your drive, this club does everything in its power to make sure you have that clear 2nd shot.

The stock shaft is suprisingly not sucky. Aldila Harbenero (sp?).My Tileist was shafted with an Aldila DVS, which I liked. This shaft has similar flight characteristics, so it suits me. Ball launch is mid-high for me.

Overall distance has greatly improved. The face of this club is what I believe people call "hot". If you manage to hit dead center, you can literally feel the ball compressing into the face of the club, and in turn, the face exploding during the release. Previous avg. driving distance IN THE AIR was around 240, with roll around 260. With the Diable Edge, I'm average 250-260yd air, with roll 280-290. I've blasted my first 300+ yd drives with this club as well. Feels weird making a 70 yd pitch up to the green on a 380 yd par 4.

Sounds great too. Not obnoxious like a lot of the game improvement clubs out there (FtIq, monster XLS, Nike Sumos, etc.). Why the 4 stars? It DOES have a weird little triangle shape at the back side, so it's not a true "pear" shape. Overall, it is quite large, although It's probably because I'm used to playing a 907D2. Honestly, I don't even notice it anymore, and the payoff is more then worth it. Although, some purists and snobs might dismiss the club entirely just for that fact.

I bought the Diablo Edge driver at Dick's for $199 (on sale obviously). My swing speed is approx. 83-85 MPH, not alot but playing it later that day I actually hit a 250 yard drive when I normally average about 160-170 yards. No, they weren't all 250, but 170-180 straight down the middle. Even one or two mishits went pretty much down the center of the fairway. Shanked one so badly that even Callaway couldn't save me! Bottom line, it definitely does what it promises. If you can't hit it straight with this club, it's your swing, not the club!

Great. As a high handicapper using the Diablo/stiff/10deg, distance is about 220m (+20 from my old driver), and much straighter. My occasional slice is much more manageable. Quality of the club is exactly what you would expect from Callaway, top shelf.

I chose this club because it claimed to be very forgiving and have a large sweet spot. And, the price was very reasonable, having checked various pricing. The claim proved to be true. I am hitting it further and straighter, and I love the feel and weight. This is a perfect match for my level of play. I highly recommend to anyone.Callaway Diablo Edge Men's Golf Driver

The club looks great in person, very light and it has a great grip. I have the Habanero shaft and it has the perfect amount of stiffness, I use a stiff shaft. I have only hit it at the driving range and it was at night so it was difficult to determine if I was getting more distance or not, but it feels like I was. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the feeling and sound just as the club face strikes the ball. When the club face makes contact with the ball it seems as though I can "feel" the ball more. My old Taylor Made Burner seems to be softer when making contact, and it has more of a "ping" sound to it, rather than a thud. There is a much bigger sweet spot in the Diablo making it much easier to hit. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it an 8, just because I like my drivers to be a little softer when making contact and I prefer that "ping" sound. As far as performance goes I would give it a 9 or 10 out of 10. I definitely hit the ball better and more consistently with the Diablo. If you're looking for a great driver that won't break the bank, then get this driver!!

Great feel and sound. When you hit the sweet spot you can really feel it. It's a great driver for beginners. I was using a cheap driver I got for $20 and the diablo is clearly a winner. I consistently hit the back of the net with this driver at the range (250 yd max range) and even very very bad miss-hit still go 200-210!! I'm using a 10' stiff and the ball flight is very nice, not too high like a iron so wind is less of a problem. The ball also goes very straight, i really can't believe that. I used to slice on my old driver and it would fly out, make a sharp right, land around 150 yd and 10 driving range lanes to my right. With this my slice goes 200 yd and lands 2-4 lanes to my right. Not bad, it will save me many balls on the course. I can't wait to go to a longer driving range to see how far this baby really goes!!

I picked this up for less then 100 bucks about a month ago. My average drive was 240 with my previous driver and now I am consistently over 250 with a few 300 yard + hits when I hit it well.

The only problems I have had with this club so far is chipping around the face from bad hits. The bottom gets scuffed up pretty easy as well. Other then that I have no complaints. It is a semi attractive club and it puts the ball way down field.

Last Thursday I went out with a buddy of mine who was trying out the R11. I out drove him on a few holes and was right with him consistently all day at around 280 to 300. He still likes his R11 but was telling his other friends that my club for the $$$ was awesome.

I am a high handicapped golfer and the worst of my game was driving.
With my driver, I either sliced the ball dramatically or topped it.
When I received the Callaway Diablo Edge driver, my first drive was around 250 yards,
with water on the right and trees on the left - It went straight down the center.
I thought it was a fluke, but the rest of game was just about the same.
NO MORE SLICING OR TOPPING THE BALL.
This was the best product I ever purchased to improve my game.
It took at least 12 strokes of my game.

I purchased one of these off ebay for about 50$. this was after i went and hit a taylormade r11 at a pro shop as well as some other high cost drivers and was hitting them all consistently around 250. I didn't feel like dropping a huge amount of money on a club that didn't improve my shot much. I then was looking around to see what i could find for not much money, and I came across this driver which i hit 280 almost every time. great purchase for myself.
