![]() Callaway's X-22 irons are dialed in for maximum performance and serious forgiveness. |
The X-22 irons are also aesthetically pleasing, with a PGA Tour-inspired head shape that incorporates a thin top line and a narrow sole. As a result, the clubs look and feel great in your hand while still offering a large sweet spot--a must for casual players. Finally, the X-22s boast an advanced version of Callaway's original Tru-Bore design, which features a polycarbonate tip plug at the end of the shaft to dampen vibration and enhance feel and performance.

X22s are a huge step up...,

Ok, so I'll admit that I'm coming off a set of 20 yr old irons. So an upgrade to most any modern set would be a huge improvement. Im 25 yrs old, play 15-20 times a season, and shoot in the low 90s.
I hit these X22s at a local golf show along with the newest PING, Taylormade, and Nike irons. Of course it's all personal preference, but these irons were hands down the winner for me. I also read about the X18s, which can be found new for a very reasonable price. Several updates made by Callaway were enough for me to buy the newest irons for this season. I've since had the irons out on the course. They hit long and straight. Very forgiving, that's for sure. Excellent feel, weight, and play. Extremely happy with these irons given the price tag.

Excellent Clubs, great feel,

Upgraded to these irons, after shopping around. It was down to the Ping i's or these. and I decided these. There was just something about the way the ball left the club head. I have no regrets. I am a 3 hdcp and have now broken par at my home club this past summer. I use the Callaway tour ix balls and my shots are straighter and longer. In fact I am pretty much a half a club longer than I used to be. Able to get spin on the greens, and the clubhead is also forgiving. I went with steel shafts as that is my comfort zone (although the driver/3 wood are graphite) getting used to graphite irons would take a while. I was able to hit these almost immediately with confidence from anywhere on the course. There are also the X-22 tour which are a step up, but I doubt the average club golfer would notice that much of a difference for an increase in price.
By far the best irons I have hit in a long time. Can't wait for the snow to melt already! 2115|R3EVOFFU1PA8BJ;2115|R2C6C62RODR4LD;
