4.0 out of 5 stars Good Value On Used Callaway Balls But ...
The golf balls arrived in a plastic egg-like carton. They were all in excellent condition. However, on closer inspection, 4 of the 36 balls were a different Callaway model than HX Hot. They included 4 CX3 Hot models, which are a much cheaper (and under-performing) model which can be purchased new at discount stores such as WalMart very imexpensively. So all in all,...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I thought
Do not order the product if you are expecting these balls to be ink or marker free. Received a set of 72 golf balls and at least 1/5 of them had markings all over the place. I know when you order recycled golf balls that you get some scuffs or discoloration, but I did not expect to find everyone's ball line up or individual demarcation. Little disappointed, how the person...

So all in all, it's still a great buy, but be aware that you may not receive a full count of the balls you expected to receive.

4.0 out of 5 stars At a buck a ball, it's ok to lose a few!, September 24, 2007

The other review on these recycled golf balls are dead on. The majority of the balls are in very good shape, a few with odd advertising logos, like Cadillac and some radio station, but still in good condition.
The drawback, however, is that I too, had about 5 non HX Hot golf balls in the package.
Hard to imagine it's by mistake.
So imagine you're getting about 31 slightly used, still expensive, HX Hot golf balls, and 5 less expensive Callaway golf balls.
In short, I bought these golf balls simply to see if I like them. And at a buck a ball, I won't worry too much if they stray off the fairway too much. Being the elitist, yet poor-playing golfer that I am; I enjoy hitting a fairly pricey golf ball, but there's little sense in buying these "high performers" brand new. If they were brand new, they would still fine there way in the sand, forest, and the water. In hindsight, I should probably get a discount on recycled golf balls...it's the new balls that I always lose after hitting them only once.
That stated, they seem to be a good golf ball, and I would probably buy them again.

I know when you order recycled golf balls that you get some scuffs or discoloration, but I did not expect to find everyone's ball line up or individual demarcation. Little disappointed, how the person who is getting them as a gift is more thrilled than I am. Just wish the product details were a bit more specific on what you would be receiving. I expected logo-ed golf balls from specific events and vendors, but not this.

This is the second time I've purchased the Callaway HX Hot Recycled Balls and am satisfied with both the product and delivery. All the balls received were HX Hot's and not a different Callaway brand as described in other reviews. A few had scuffing and marking which is to be expected with one to two rounds of play on them. These play just as good on the course, and for a better price. Excellent for a beginner or on a tight course where losing balls is a possiblity.

I am an avid golfer, although not a very good one. Initially when I started playing I went through alot of golf balls. I wanted to play with a decent ball but could not afford it losing around a dozen balls a round. I purchased these ball online used. They were in great shape. Most of the balls were without scuffs and the outer lining did not have any deeps scrapes. I would highly recommend. Although they will not lower your score.

Just a word of caution....you might be disappointed with these balls. While the photo shows "A" quality recycled balls, when I opened the packing I found that all ball were "C" or "D" quality balls at best. Back they went. I believe in buying recycled balls but not these. There are better quality recycled balls for the same price elsewhere.

I guess I am the lucky one because I have received all 36 HX Hot balls. The only problem I had was the ball quality was not as good as Nike Super Far balls.

I received 36 HX Diablo Tour. All are in nearly new condition. A couple look to have been hit once. There are no printed logos on any of the balls. Four stars for misleading product title.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed in quality, November 20, 2011

Received set of 36 recycled golf balls. More than half have the Callaway name and logo partially scrubbed off and/or colored pen markings from previous users. The description says 'recycled to highest standards possible', which does not accurately described the product. I've purchased mint-condition recycled balls from RockBottomGolf previously with much better quality. I would not purchase or recommend this item.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I had in mind!, October 14, 2011

I'm not the best golfer in the world. I'll just get that out of the way. I've been using the Callaway Hot HX for a few months now and I've gone through my share. No one wants to lose balls on the course, but it happens. I decided to pick these up so I won't feel like a loser when I shank one or hit it in the water or have some impatient players behind me.

They arrived today and I was pleasantly surprised. As some folks have mentioned, I did receive one HX Bite, but the other 35 were HX Hot. Of the 35 Hots only about 5 had scuffs on them. The rest are in great condition. Sure there are a few with Sharpie marks and a few with random logos, but I really don't care. When I get to the point where I never lose a ball, then I'll go back to the new stuff. Until then, this deal is perfect for a player like me.

I'm taking them out on the course tomorrow. Hopefully they don't have a magnetic attraction to the sand like most balls I play.

Have fun and hit 'em straight!
