Product Description

X Hot: The New Standard in Distance

Born from Callaway complete performance, X Hot Irons have created the new standard in distance for the irons category, allowing golfers to hit a 7-iron where they used to hit a 6. Renowned accuracy is just the beginning with an undercut cavity and Speed Frame Face Technology that make the face hotter, especially on the low CG, and new feel management technology that promotes crisp, dynamic feel at higher ball speeds. Without question, these are the longest irons in golf.

Feel Management Technology
Deep Undercut Cavity

Deep clubface/undercut cavity system enables engineers to precisely position the CG, increase face compliance and engineer the face of each individual iron to maximize ball speed.

Speed Frame Face

The Speed Frame Face maximizes ball speeds all across the face for longer, more consistent distance. Technology borrowed from our drivers has actually been applied to these irons to produce the higher ball speeds and explosive distance that you’re looking for.

Feel Management Technology

This technology fine tunes sound while also providing crisp, dynamic feel and playability.

Speed Step 85 Shaft

Steel shaft is available in both regular and stiff flexes along with lightweight graphite options.

I bought these irons about three weeks ago after trying out ALL the left handed irons that Golf Galaxy had. I finally narrowed it down to two sets of irons and chose the X Hots, even though they were substantially more expensive than the other set. I have gotten use to hitting these irons during these past three weeks, and today, I shot my age with them--69! They are very forgiving, and if you hit them a tad bid fat, thin or out on the toe, the ball still goes. I have had to step up an iron from my previous set, which I had played for 10+ years. Yes, they are tuned with less loft, but I hit the ball pretty high anyway, so the ball still has plenty of loft and I am getting a lot more distance now. I am hitting an 8 iron now whereas before I was hitting a 7 for the same amount of distance. My only regret with the X Hots is that Callaway does not make a LOB wedge in these irons for Left Handed golfers. I would definitely recommend these clubs, as they are the best that I have ever hit.

Well when I hit them in the store I seemed to get a lot of extra distance. This did not translate to the course. While I still hit these crisp and they feel good I do not seem to get this explosive distance they talk about.

I have been using the X-20's for 5 years, and I really liked them. I decided to go for the X-hots because of the distance you can get out of these. After trying them, I have to say they are very good irons, just as the x-20's. The main difference is the distance, which is 10-15 yards longer than the X-20's. What I learned is that they actually get more distance out of these irons because the reduced the lofts and increased the length of each and every iron in the set. So basically, what used to be a 7 iron for me, is now my 8 iron. Same loft, same length, different number. That is a little disappointing, because what I had expected is that the actual technology on these clubs would be the one responsible for the extra yards. That is why I am giving the x-hots 4 stars instead of five. Overall, great irons. Very forgiving, thus a good set for high/mid handicappers.

Great looking clubs..Easy to hit ball in air. I am hitting balls 10-15 yard more than with my (soon to be sold) Titleist clubs. Will never leave Callaway. Amazon had these clubs on door steps in 4 days.

After "retiring" my old set of Tommy Armour's, these irons have dropped several strokes with little change to my swing. The only problem was they actually go where I aim them and don't have to swing as hard to get the same distance. Very forgiving clubs also. They were also a great deal at $400. I hit them as well as any of the clubs I tried including some sets priced over $1000. I would highly recommend these irons to anyone interested in improving their game.

I finally got to go out to the course and play with my new clubs. The X hot irons replaced some old Callaway big bertha irons, prior to these I was playing ping zings. The X hot clubs are the best clubs I have ever owned, fist time out I shot the best round of my life. I am a 12 handicap and there is no doubt in my mind I can drop one if not two places on my handicap. As other reviewers have stated you will drop at least one club length, example where I was hitting a 5 iron I can now hit a 6 or maybe even a 7, the clubs are that much longer and very forgiving. I hit a few shot that I know was not crisp but I still got the distance and direction I needed to make the green. The clubs look good but they play even better. You will not go wrong no matter your handicap by going with these clubs. The only thing that will change is your score and for the better.
