High Quality, Easy Set Up,
By
This review is from: Callaway Quad Net, 8 Feet (Sports)
After doing much research I decided to go with the Callaway 8' Quad Net from Amazon. The price was a little more than I originally wanted to spend, but you definitely get what you pay for with this item.
This net is as close as you can get to instant set up. Just take it out of the provided Callaway bag, lay it flat on the ground and insert the 5 small stakes through each loop. Next you place one pole on each side. That is it! I haven't taken it down yet, but the directions look fairly easy as well. Some other reasons I bought this from Amazon: (1)[..]cheaper than Dicks Sporting Goods, Edwin Watts and other golf retailers. (2) No Tax (3) Free Shipping. Saved me approx [..]. going to a retail store! Once again, if you are looking for a high quality net go with the Callaway 8' Quad. It is money well spent if you are looking to improve your golf game. Plus it is great for the whole family!

I've had this product for about 3 months and in my opinion is the best practice net for ease of use and features. This net sets up with one person. Others can be set up with one person, but with much greater difficulty. This net, made by Izzo, is their best yet. Some of the other nets are so difficult to set up,you tend not to take them down- even if your not using it, which shortens the life of the netting. The Quad Net doesn't take up as much space front to back as some of the other comparable sized nets either and the 8' opening is plenty big enough for any golfer. I highly recommend this net.
Pros: Easy set up. Great ball return feature that moves the balls to the front edge of the net for easy collection. Has a smaller footprint than comparable sized nets. Cons: A bit pricier than most others. AMENDED: Oct 26, 2010 It has been over a year since I purchased this net, and I will only add that the quality and durability is not surpassed. This product has held up well and should be part of your practice tools. It is the easiest net to set up, and with a little practice, is the easiest to disassemble. Yes it is expensive, but in my opinion, you do get what you pay for in this case.

Great investment. Strong, light, easy to put up, a little tricky to take down, but once you figure it out it is easy. Great practice and now everyone in the family uses it. Just watch the shank shots, they can go off where you don't want them to.

Bought this net about a year ago. It has really helped my swing tremendously. Just being able to swing away in my back yard just a little every day (live in CA) helps alot. (btw 20+ handicap). Its a great net but the only complaint I've got is that all the little pieces are falling apart. For one, I cut holes in target blanket cause it was making way too much noise. I shouldn't have done that cause now the whole thing is shredded. a little plastic piece that holds the tubing in place broke and I've had to sew a few holes. It would be great if Callaway sold replacement parts but I couldn't find anywhere. Anyway, I'm probably going to have to buy a new net soon (love being able to hit in my back yard), I might try one that is a little more expensive and hopefully get something that will last more than 1 year....

The cheaper nets do not compair to this one easy set up. Netting is quality netting well wought the money. Big enough hitting area for anybody to hit into.

The first golf net I got from some other company was a cheap piece of crap. I can hit the ball pretty decent, so I needed something sturdier. I decided to try this net out. I set it up in my backyard and I just leave it outside 24/7. I've been hitting balls into it everyday for the last two months and it's still holding up strong. I am happy with this item.

I have only used this net for a total of 10 hours, but it looks just as nice as it did when I pulled it out of the box. I have hit everything from wedges to drivers and it has handled every shot with ease. If you do not put the target in the net, you will probably wear a hole through the back of it, but 99.9% of all shots will hit the target. Great product! Easy to fold up when not in use.

Dont get this if you live in a small apartment. this thing is huge, really huge. not for a office either. if u have a huge living room but no backyard like a condo its great.set up is easy, just shake it up and put the post in.thats it. If your serious about getting some swing time at home this is for you, the balls stay in the net at high speeds and wide enough to catch really bad slices. U will need to go the driving range for your drivers and woods in my opinion. there is a bottom lip that keeps the balls in, so dont shoot low or it will shoot back and bite you in the ankles or break some windows. Its great that it folds up but it weighs about 20 lbs.

After reading some of the horror stories in reviews on less expensive nets, I decided to pay the extra bucks for what seemed to be a superior product. I have had my net now about a month and am very pleased with it. I was able to set it up quite easily by myself. The frame is made of light spring steel which is the perfect combination of light weight and rigidity. The hanging target buckles, as it is supposed to, when the balls hits it and neatly drops them so that they are easily retrieved. The few balls that miss the target are easily stoped by the net. I have had a couple of badly skyey tee shots get over it so you would probably want to stand as close as possible to it,especially when hitting lofted clubs. It is supported by 2 metal poles unlike cheaper models that apparently use PVC and are prone to breakage. While it is reasonably easy to take down and store I don't think you would want to do this on a daily basis. Nonetheless I did not want to leave it standing and subject it to all the deterioration of rain and sun. Setting up in a shady area solves the sun problem and when rain is forecast I simply remove the 2 steel poles, collapse it flat on the ground and cover it with a plastic tarp weighted on the edges by rocks or boards. There are a few very minor problems. The target tends to billow up on windy days making it less useful and on one day with 40 mile plus gusts the net itself blew over. The metal spikes at the ends of the 2 supporting poles that go into the ground could be 3 or 4 inches long instead of the 1 too 1 and 1/2 inches. Being so short they have a tendency to pull ot of the ground. Aso, the metal hold down spikes, that are appx 4 inches long, have a tendency to twist and thus release the hold down tabs. All of these are minor problem and constitute no real hazard and little or no nuisance.

The net is of good quality, sets up easy. I would recommend bigger ground stakes, the tiny metal rods pull out of the ground super easy. I am going to try tent stakes.
