Could be the best golf gps out there, but Callaway just can't get the bugs out. It has been recalled by callaway and they are giving refunds to those who have bought them. Enough said.

I can't believe Callaway has totally messed up this time. I have the original UPro and love it, but can't even get to the website anymore since they "updated" it for the new UPRo mx. I want my old site back.

Amazon Verified Purchase
After conducting a lengthy and exhaustive search through the myriad of GPS systems available on the market currently, I came to the conclusion that the uPro MX GPS from Callaway would be the best product to get in terms of quality, ease of use, features, etc. For the recommended price of $199 with NO monthly or annual fees it easily outshines all other units out there. After buying one USED from Amazon (because the product has been temporarily pulled from stores as they fix their support systems, i.e., website, syncing issues, among others). I can unequivocally state that the system is very easily used ONCE you get it up and running.
THAT seems to be problem for most people who lack the computer savvy to get this baby up and running. If you are a bit of a tech type, you will have NO issues. If you are NOT a tech type - be prepared for some frustration because they have not completely fixed the website and syncing options as of 8 February 2012. Looking at the modality in which they are approaching the entire sync process I am not totally convinced they will ever get it to where they want it to be as they are using a web browser and JAVA as the primary vehicle to sync. It seems to me a simple APP would be better suited and have far fewer headaches... BUT if they succeed they will blow ever other unit off the planet with the in depth statistics, etc., that is being "teased" online @ [...].
I've only used it twice, but I am loving every bit of it...
