The film "Callejon Sin Salida," is a cult classic for Javier Solis fans. Critics of the films in which Javier Solis is featured, usually decry the poor quality of the films. But these critics totally miss the value of these films, the value of these otherwise poorly made films is that we get to watch the greatest singer to ever walk the face of the earth: Javier Solis! Fans of Javier Solis could care less if the films just featured Javier going about his daily routine chores, we just want to see Javier Solis, and hear him sing. We thank with all our heart those who filmed Javier so that future generations can get to see the man behind the greatest voice to ever grace this earth.

"Callejon Sin Salida" is Mexican style film-noir, it is undoubtedly Javier's best film. This film gives a glimpse into Javier's acting potential if he had been cast in the proper roles, and proper genres. Javier Solis had a Charles Bronson type side to him that was never exploited by directors in his other films, the greatness of this film is that director Rafael Baledon understood Javier's potential to play tough no-nonsense characters a la Charles Bronson. Javier grew up in a tough Mexico City neighborhood, Tacubaya, at one time he planned to seek his fortune in boxing, and besides many other jobs worked as a bouncer in a rough bar, before becoming a singing sensation and legend. Had Javier been cast in similar roles to the one in this film, he would have enjoyed greater success in film.

The film also features Emilio "El Indio" Fernandez, playing the role of a gambler who loses his casino to Javier Solis's character. Fernandez directed the best Mexican style film-noirs himself, he directed one of the most brutal film-noirs ever filmed: "Victimas Del Pecado."

If you are a fan of Javier Solis, this film is a must.
