In today's 99% typing-and-texting age, the natural flowing lines of caligraphy come as a refreshing enhancement to any page. And with all the font options on computers now, I've often wondered about the background of some of those nicer, more embellished scripts- where they come from, their history, their significance. This dvd has shown me that and more, with excellent graphics and fun stories told by Mr. Mayhall, who is obviously a very interested scholar in the subject. If you have any interest at all in caligraphy, this smart dvd is a best buy for the money!!! Informative, instructional AND entertaining!!!My wife also enjoys this dvd very much: "I've noticed that a little practice in the art of calligraphy can improve and enhance any student's penmanship. The lettering instruction in this video gives a student more control to achieve their desired results, and after learning the basics of calligraphy, students always have fun creating their own new scripts as well." |
