I originally bought this for "The Sore Feet Song" which is the opening song for the anime "Mushishi". But I was surprised to learn that Ally Kerr is a very talented, although mostly unknown, artist. It's really quite a happy album. One of those that just kind of emanates this calming feeling. I really enjoy it, and I hope those of you who decide to get it do too!

I first became acquainted with Ally Kerr's music when I watched Mushishi, where his "Sore Feet Song" is used as the intro. His voice is great and his music is soothing; but the other songs on the album really didn't click with me the way that intro did.

Yes, I am guilty of buying this disc for the Mushi-shi song. When I recieved this cd in the mail, I was pleastly surprised. The opening track, 'Midst of the Strom' is a nice laid-back song. There are more lively songs on the disc, but they fit within the structure of the album.

I was very disappointed with this album after I heard it, especially since I has very high expectations. I bought it as I first heard it as the theme song for the anime series, Mushi-shi. The first verse of the song Sore Feet Song was used. I wished I had heard the entire song before I bought the album. The second verse was not only disappointing but almost offensive. In order to ease the lost love, the singer talks about how he or she robbed stores and ate rats and toads to feel better. Give me a break. The song, for me, changed entirely. I would avoid this album. Don't buy it. Of course if you think robbing stores is a great thing, then this is right up your alley.
