4.0 out of 5 stars Nice album for his 7th solo, January 6, 2010

This review is from: Calliope Click (Audio CD)
It's been about a year and a half since his last solo (his "Community Service" from 9/09 isn't really a solo of his, as he is only on 4 of the 17 or so songs), and this is another solid 4 star album. Of his 6 previous solo's (not counting "Tru Dawgs" or "Community Service" as solo's since he was on less than 1/3 of the songs on those), he has two 4.5 star albums ("Life or Death" & "Bossalinie"), three 4 star albums ("Screamin 4 Vengenence", "Trapped in Crime" and "TRUest S*** I Ever Said") and one 3 star album ("C-P-3.com"). Not to mention a few group TRU albums with his brothers, he has quite a catalog of albums he's been a part of over the past 12 years (a few of which came out while behind bars). As always you get some straight street and gutter songs about hustling and other hood tales,a few for the ladies and even some positive ones. Guests are heavy on this, on every song but 1 (which is my favorite on here). Of the 17 songs, C is on 14 of them so you do get to hear a good amount of him (2 of the 3 he isn't on are nothing special). you get 1 almost classic, 11 good and 5 ok songs on here. A nice album for his fans to pick up and keeps my stance that he is the best, and most consitant from the former No Limit Camp (also a fan of Serv-On & Mac, as they always released decent to good albums).

5.0 out of 5 stars Uncompromising, September 30, 2009

This review is from: Calliope Click (Audio CD)
Calliope Click picks up on the heels of last year's solid "Screaming For Vengeance". The gruff and agressive rap style is evident, as well as a deeper sense of estrangement and loss. This is understandable, because this may be the last proper C-Murder album we hear in a long time. Perhaps the most dissapointing aspect of te album is the conspicuous absence of little brother Silkk the Shocker and nephew Lil Romeo. Instead, C-Murder goes verse for verse with Southern heavyweights like BG and Juvenile. On another song, he teams up with Snoop Dogg and the final result is redolent of No Limit's days at the top before the new millenium.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST GANGSTA RAP ALBUM IN 2009!!!, September 29, 2009

This review is from: Calliope Click (Audio CD)
Initially, I thought that this LP was about to be a TRU records compilation album that in only a few tracks C was rappin'.

Suprisingly, i was wrong and C was on all of dem tracks besides the one called ''My Hustle''!!
This time, C-Murder's flow has much more ENERGY with really nice {thugged out/gangstafied} lyrics that make you go crazy!

The production(mostly by T-Rhythm) is really tight!!

18 tracks is what S4V was missin'...
Without a doubt, this is one of the best C-Murder album releases so far and surely the best gangsta rap album in 2009 ! ! !

It's really dope, so u must cop dat thang!!!
Another important thing about this project is that this album has a high replay value!!
It is a hood classic full of bangers!
Don't sleep on this album!!!

and remember this is not the end!
TRU Records won't stop!

FREE C-MURDER!
