Callpod is great - iPod adapters are poor,

My wife and I love the Callpod hubs, as they are a very convenient and flexible way to recharge the many devices that we have around the house, iPods, iPhones, Blackberries, Bluetooth ear pieces, etc. We have one for the office, one for the house, and another for a cabin we rent.
However, the iPod / iPhone adapters are poorly manufactured. While they all work initially, over time, they break -- usually, the black plastic piece around the connector breaks, probably from the repetition of being squeezed on the sides to connect, release from the iPhones. Callpod customer support is generally very helpful, and will swap the parts out when they break, but I've now had to either replace / repurchase over 10 of the iPhone adapters (we use 2 at a time per Callpod). Even the two I have today at home, replacements of replacements, are starting to fail, again. Normally, I'd discard the adapter entirely if it were this junky, but we really do like the Callpod, and the adapters for the other devices all seem to be very well made.

Adapter's Make Your Callpod Chargepod Better,

I find the that Callpod Chargepod adaptor for the iPod and iPhone fits in my iPod a little bit tighter than the charger that came with the iPod...maybe a little too tight. Yet it charges the iPod without any problems. In my opinion Callpod should have included this accessory with the callpod chargepod. I was frustrated that I had to purchase it, but very happy with it's function.
I love the callpod chargepod, which is a round hub with 6 "spokes" of chargers sticking out of it. I have not found a single one my my rechargable electronics for which there is no callpod adapter. I felt that the default adapter's included with the callpod were not the best choice. So before purchasing a callpod make sure you count the cost of all of the spokes that you will purchase; they usually will cost you between seven and ten bucks apiece. But for me that is worth it. My life is a tangle of cords and the callpod chargepod works to fix that. I keep my six devices (usually two blackberries, an ipod, two bluetooth headsets, and an Amazon Kindle) charging in a self-contained circle without cords going everywhere and without the use of a powerstrip. Then when I travel, I can connect those same device to the car charger using the car power adapter. And in a hotel room, I can charge all my devices (including any that charge via usb using the usb adapter) without bringing tons of cords. The callpod is an expensive, yet for many, worthwhile accessory for your portable electronics.

after a couple of months this adapter's housing around the ipod end of the plug fell apart. When that happened, one of the pieces got lost so i wasn't able to glue it back together. I later decided to replace the whole callpod adapter with a powered usb hub. everything i needed to charge can be powered by usb anyway and with this setup i have no proprietary plugs or equipment to deal with.
